Dr. Chantal Nouvellon, DO

I saw this 'specialist' for a few years when I was a young college-age teenager going through some personal and mental health problems. Looking back on my interactions with this woman, I wonder why I ever put up with her. I remember she was always sending me to the lab to get my blood tested, and I also remember her screaming at me that I 'was 100% going to have a heart attack' because my iron levels were a little low (I have iron deficiency anemia due to a chronic illness that runs in my family). A strange conclusion for her to reach as a psychiatrist (?). I'm happy to say that although my iron levels are still low to this day, I have not yet had a heart attack. Also, it appears that her license has been suspended in Massachusetts due to some insane things she did (not surprised to see this). I can't copy and paste links here but look it up on Google. Ta!

I’m thankful for the help Dr. Nouvellon did provide in our first few appointments, but I wish I could be compensated for the time I took off work to get to our most recent “appointment” (all the way up in Nashua, NH) because she wasn't even there. I thought I arrived at the wrong address initially because I was standing in the lobby of a REMAX reality office, but the nice receptionist told me that Dr. Nouvellon rents one of their spare conference rooms occasionally for appointments, which just feels weird. That aside, it was frustrating to sit in the REMAX lobby for about half a hour, calling both Dr. Nouvellon’s office and personal phone numbers, wondering if she really was a no show. And she was! No one picked up either. I have to pay her like a hundred bucks if I’m a no show without rescheduling, so I guess Dr. Nouvellon’s time is more precious than mine. Money’s tight, I really needed this appointment, and she let me down. It’s time to find a new psychiatrist, unfortunately.

She listens carefully and remembers details said 2 years before. She was able to diagnosed my brain tumor while she listened to my slow growing symptoms: 2 weeks later the tumor was removed. I feel much better. I highly recommend her.

I have seen her for many years and she is above honesty. She tells it like it is because she reads her patients the proper way. She will challenge you to get the truth about why you're there to see her. That's a good caring doctor. She is top notch in my humble opinion. I trust her decisions and am going back to see her after experiencing that she is a real caring doctor for years.

My daughter had crippling anxiety and could not go to school. Dr. Nouvellon cured her with medication and therapy and my daughter was able to attend school. For month she was too afraid to get to school and we use to spend 2-3 hours trying to calm her down and get to school : then she would refused to enter the school and no matter what we did she could not get in the building. When Dr. Nouvellon saw her she figured out a way to change her treatment and help us take the steps to get her inside the school.

I'm so heartbroken to see bad reviews of Dr. Nouvellon because she is fantastic! I was so nervous going into my appointment thinking I had a certain mental disorder but as soon as I brought it up she immediately dismissed it and also gave me the reasoning why. She asks all the right questions, explains medication so well, and also made me feel so comfortable. To those who were mad that she left when they were late, that's on you! She was there and ready and you weren't, good for her!

Poor communication and willingness to listen

She treated me for addiction to opiates and allowed me to get off within 2 months she is the best doctor I have ever had.

She is rude, she screws up appointments, doesn't really care about your fears or concerns, 2 different times she gave me an appt when she was closed and had to go a week without my medication not to mention she has written my prescriptions wrong and had to wait days to sort it out and getting a hold of her office can take days sometimes, there are better doctors out there i suggest you find one

I think Dr. Nouvalon truly cares about her patients, she goes above and beyond to help them. I have only been seeing her a few months and I travel an hour to see her because I feel she is someone who understands issues I am going through and treats patients on a wholistic approach. I have started exercising again etc. I am not the only one who feels this way, since I started to see her everyone including family and friends think I have been doing so much better!

Did not seem friendly (her assistant was great however). Was 5 minutes late to an appointment due to a bad accident holding up traffic, and she immediately dismissed me. Wait time isn't great (I guess it's ok for her to be late). I would avoid at all costs.
