Dr. Chao Chen, MD

I would absolutely recommend you AVOID going to see Dr. Chen and his team. READ THE OTHER REVIEWS! They are awful and will try to SCAM you into taking additional appointments that you do NOT need. I came in for an annual physical and got bloodwork completed. Upon leaving, the woman at the front desk handed me an appointment confirmation for the doctor to "go over my bloodwork results". I asked her if this was necessary, as I could just view my bloodwork results online. She didn't give me an option to decline this appointment and rushed me out the door. Dr. Chen did call me to tell me the "bloodwork results look great" and we hung up. The call took about 20 seconds. They billed me $130 for a telephone appointment. If this isn't a scam, I'm not sure what is. I politely reached out to billing and Dr. Chen, who were less than helpful. Needless to say, I will not be returning to this establishment and will pay the $130 to not deal with their miserable staff ever again.

Great service

Scheduled an annual physical with TBHC and Dr Chen. During the visit, I also asked about some blood work I had done recently to get some insight. The hospital and the Doctor ended up charging me the full amount for the visit, by coding the bill as a “sick/diagnostic, dietary advice” visit rather than an annual physical (fully covered by insurance). I would not recommend THBC as it seems they charge you for everything. Apparently, any questions you ask outside of normal routine checkups can be billed back to you. Therefore, I’d suggest keeping quiet during your routine physical and don’t raise any concerns of your own health to the doctor.
