I work a full time job, & I have always been on speaker phone for our son's appointments. We have had multiple appointments this way. Our last appointment Dr. Johnson came in and said I couldn't be on speaker phone during the appointment, this came as a surprise given we've done it every other appointment. I then asked why, and she stated Hipaa. When I, as politely as possible, refuted hipaa does not prevent us from being on the phone she told me I was being rude and said if we wanted to be seen my wife would have to hang up. Which was an awful thought, given we're worried about our son, and had questions. I couldn't have asked for a more unreasonable response for a physician. Not sure if it was the end of the day and she had a rough day or what, but we will absolutely be switching providers, to one of the multiple other providers that I called and all stated it's perfectly normal and reasonable to allow a working father to listen in on an appointment via speakerphone.

We loved Dr. Johnson! She is a Dr. that takes time to know her patients and listen to concerns of parents! The very first time she did a chest assessment on my new born son she discovered a heart murmur and sent us for an echo right away, he had a small ASD. She has always felt like an ally to me in the care of my son. He has had some developmental delay which she picked up on, with only subtle explanations from us as to the activities he was demonstrating. She has guided me as a new mother in the right direction in the care of my son. Then when I had my second child, Dr. Johnson seen us at the hospital on her first day of life! It was wonderful having her there at the hospital assessing my daughter because it was someone I knew and trusted already. The only thing that was unfavorable was that when you called to make an appointment you were transferred to an answering service, and didn't get to speak to her secretary. I'd recommend anyone take their child to Dr. Johnson.

We have taken our children to Dr. Johnson since they were born. We love her and so do our kids. She always takes time with us. Wait time was an issue last year but it seems to have vastly improved.

She was unprofessional and not pleasant. When I asked her questions she became annoyed. She treated our daughter roughly. Other doctors on the practice are wonderful but this one doesn’t seem to like people or kids.

We loved Dr Johnson and the nurses at her office. However, we always waited a really long time to be seen. We were also very frustrated with Beacon's call system. We weren't ever able to talk to a nurse or doctor directly and sometimes played phone tags for hours. Sometimes we even received a call back as late as the next week. Because of this we chose to switch pediatricians.

I absolutely love this doctor! She has been with me ever since I had my son in early 2015. She is straight up and forward with you and my son absolutely adores her. Would recommend her to anyone and everyone!
