I hope you know he's retiring!
I find it very unprofessional that Dr. Butrick is retiring without any notice to his patient's. He implanted the Axonics device in to me. He's responsible for taking care of that. I went to make my yearly appointment, only to be told he's no longer in that office and he's retiring in 2 days. Every doctor I've ever had, sent out a letter announcing their retirement, giving you time for one last appointment and a recommendation for a new doctor. This is extremely important when you have an implant. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL. Not many doctors do these implants. I'm now left on my own to find a new doctor that is trained and qualified to take care of me and this device.

He is an answer to my prayers. We are so lucky to have him in Kansas City. I hardly write a review but, this brilliant doctor helps thousands of men and women deal with a terrible chronic pain affliction that is embarrassing, is almost unbearable at times, constant pain and suffering that is dishabituating, prevents them from living a full and healthy life...really robs them/me from having joy. It is caused by stress. COVID and what's going on in the world today is a major player. Dr. Butrick is a caring, compassionate and brilliant specialist. If you suffer at any age, from child birth, a hysterectomy, abuse, injury, etc. don't hesitate to get his help and do the work. I am so grateful I'm getting treatment

I had my surgery in 2004 and it "failed".....I was one of the 15% per Dr. Butrick. His office charged my high option gov't Humana insurance BIG BUCKS too so I was extremely irked, to say the least. Grrrr.

He was rude and condescending. He showed no empathy towards me and my diagnosis. No one should be treated the way he treated me. Big mistake if chosen by anyone for him as a provider. The absolute worst experience in my life. If I could give him a zero rating, I would.

Dr. Butrick is amazing. He is the best at understanding and treating pelvic floor issues and interstitial cystitis. He quickly worked me in for an appointment when I was in unbearable pain. He explained all medical procedures to me in a caring and professional manner. My interstitial cystitis was so bad that I thought I was going to have to get a urostemy. Dr. Butrick saved my bladder and got me feeling better and living my life again. I am very thankful for this doctor and his kind staff. They are a blessing. Dr. Butrick's cutting edge SOLA Therapy is miraculous. Make sure to schedule appointments ahead of time. He is in high demand because he is the best.

If you want a confident doctor, this is for you. If you want compassion or a trauma informed office, RUN AWAY! From the time you walk in, the receptionist on the right with dark curly hair is a total HAG. I have heard her complaining about patients loudly every time I have been in. Dr. Butrick is one of the most arrogant physicians I have met. He talks at you rather than with you. He will share often the awards he has gotten and how he worked with the inventor of this device or has a success rate of this percentage. And if you have to get urodynamic testing and have any traumatic history, please listen and go somewhere else. Or at the very least, ask to see what this involved in this testing and to see the chair and what will happen.

He is very knowledgeable and Cutting-edge in his treatments. He explains things in a way that is personal to each patient and he treats me as a whole person even though he is my specialist for pelvic floor. He gives advice when I ask to help me see the bigger health picture. I love his support staff. Margo and Tasha are amazing as well. His nursing staff is empathetic and helpful. Would recommend this practice to anyone!

My mother went to Dr. Butrick for years for incontinence issues, had many procedures, meds, etc. done with nothing working. Just kept had her keep coming, taking more money from her, with no positive results. Her demise to eventual death was yet another UTI that went septic. I would not recommend him under any circumstances.

If I could leave 0 starts I would. My grandmother has had multiple, multiple severe UTIs for the past several years. Each time Dr. Butrick’s office takes a week + to get results back (despite multiple emails/phone calls). My Grandmothers health severely declines during this time to the point of sepsis due to UTI infection traveling to her kidneys. Leaving her hospitalized, at death’s door, and taking MONTHS to recover. Here we are again in the same situation. He’s THE WORST! It’sMedical neglect!

I have been a patient of Dr. Butricks for the past 19yrs. When I started with D.r Butrick I had several issues? that required a Physician that was the Best of the Best. Before seeing Dr. Butrick I had been seen at both KU Med and Duke University. Sue Dr. Butrick's Nurse is Awesome?me as well and everyone in the office is nice to work with?. Dr. Butrick will spend the time it takes to answer your questions and explain everything that he plans to do. You will not be disappointed.

I feel like Dr Butrick already has his mind made up prior to even seeing the patient. This could be different if surgery is needed but that wasn't my case. Even though his website states they help with hormone issues he stated that was not something he would address that he just deals with pain. And when I say deals with pain he suggest muscle relaxers and PT. Pretty disappointing. I'm not looking for drugs and I'm 99.9% my issues are hormone related especially after seeing Endocrinology.

I believe Dr. Butrick saved my life. He repaired what two other local urogynecologist surgeons failed to do. I couldn't walk across the street without excessive urine leakage. When I did leave the house, I found myself lingering around bathroom doors so I wouldn't have an accident. At 55 yrs. old, I became a hermit. I found Dr. Butrick. He listened attentively, was empathetic and explained my options for a REAL repair by him. Thanks to Dr. Butrick, I'm no longer incontinant and social again!
