Yes, I have great admiration for Dr. Heinsen, but
Dr. Heinsen is no longer practicing medicine. He required a pacemaker for his heart and is currently home recovering.

Great Physician, cares about his patients.
I don’t know too many drs like him. Tries to work weekends to help people. I wish we had more drs. like him.

He set the standard.
It's been 47 years since Dr. Heinsen performed surgery on me in Winamac. My husband was a trucker back then and gone most of the time; I was a young mother of 2 very active children 3 yrs. apart. Dr. Heinsen was compassionate, empathetic and supportive. He took care of the problem and good care of me. I regained my health, energy and went back to being a full time mom. The doctors I've had since have been measured by his standard. Thank you Dr. Heinsen!

To me he is the best doctor anyone would want. He has been my doctor for over 40 years. He will take more than the 15 minutes to talk to you, if you want. No other doctor comes close to matching his experience and thoughtfulness. He does not order unnecessary tests just to fill requirements. Dr Heinsen should know his patients need and want him.
