Dr. Charles Moomey, MD

I had yet another major Spinal Fusion (L5-S1 Anterior Lumbar Interbody Fusion along with a Posterior Spinal Fusion) done on 8/17/22 at Northside Hospital. I was told by my doctor and his staff and nurses, that I would also meet Dr. Moomey, who would be the Vascular Surgeon responsible for cutting my stomach open and moving everything out of the way in order for my Orthopaedic Surgeon (Dr. Middlebrooks) to complete the fusions safely. I had a lot of questions to ask Dr. Moomey prior to and after surgery, and I eagerly wanted to meet him and speak to him several important questions prior to and also after having this major procedure done. I asked on several different occasions, if and when I would meet Dr. Moomey and was told that I would definitely meet him. It is now almost (4) days later and in the process of being discharged from the hospital and I still have NOT met Dr. Moomey. I have experienced several procedures with Dr. Moomey's team. He is a thorough professional. Rescheduling is a fact of life and procedures must be prioritized. I feel very fortunate to be his patient. I will not use another surgeon. In my eyes he is the best. If I must wait (and I too have been rescheduled) I will wait. He is that good! I recommend him to all with no reservations.

My father had been scheduled for surgery twice with this doctor and both times he has waited for over 5 hours hooked up to IV,etc solely to be told, sorry well need to reschedule the doctor is running late. This is by far the worse experience we've had with a physician. Terrible just terrible!
