Misleading
Dr. Stivala gave us the options for valve replacement and told us the pros and cons of each. Once we chose the valve he talked like he was selling a car, that everything would be rainbows and unicorns. He never explained any of the complications that might occur of Wich all happened to my husband. Were very specific about no Coumadin and he got it anyway. We were told 4 to 5 day stay, he was there for 12 of Wich Stivala came and saw him once right after surgery. They pulled the chest tubes to early and he had to have a second surgery to replace them. That surgeon Dr. Troy told me everything went fine, come to find out from the nurses he had fluid around his lungs and heart. He also was taken into ICU with breathing tube and was not given pain meds till it came out almost 7 hours later. The ICU team at Lourdes was excellent everything else was lacking !

I WOULD RECOMMEND DR. STIVALA TO ANY BODY THAT NEEDS HEART SURGERY HE IS A GENTLEMAN AND A GREAT SURGEON . HIS STAFF IS ONE OF THE BEST. WILLIAM DEGER
