Rude, arrogant, dismissive, ignorant, disgusting
I have a rare chronic illness that causes widespread joint pain that for some (like me) can be debilitating. The intake nurse was rude, impatient, left the room before I was done explaining the reason for my visit, even scoffed a few times. Within 5 minutes of my first appointment with him, before I could even explain why I was there and what I was hoping to gain he gaslit me and accused me of drug seeking. He told me 'everyone is in pain, you will always be in pain, and no one cares about your pain.' He proceeded to ask me if someone was in pain, would I care? I said yes, of course, I'm a very empathetic person, I care about anyone's pain. He responded, okay that can be YOUR truth. Um, excuse me? I have seen dozens of doctors in my life. I have ever walked out of an appointment before. Everything about him was insanely unprofessional. Apparently he thought I needed a 'reality check' as well. Highly highly highly do NOT recommend this arrogant, insincere, pathetic excuse for a doctor.

Dr. T is great and PA’s too
Born with chronic Muscular Dystrophy been in Pain Management since 2002. Patient of Dr Torry’s approx. 5 yrs. My only consistent complaint is the Wait Time is woefully unacceptable on the one hand. However this area of Care is very delicate and one has to understand that Healthcare in this country, unfortunately, is a Business first. Having said that the care from Dr. T and his rather extensive rotation of P.A.’s had been excellent in my experience. The folks at the desks though have in my estimation been consistently unpleasant, disinterested, and perhaps the unhappiest bunch of folks I deal with. You’d be lucky to catch anyone answering the phone but it’s has happened to me once, for what it’s worth. Less and less doctors seem to want to deal with these conditions, treatments, and medication management. While no one is ever perfect I’ve been fine to be treated well by Dr. Torry; he’s always upbeat, engaged, etc. Seems the other Staff Folks are happy to aspire to mediocrity.

DO NOT GO HERE
Waited 5 hours last time because if I didn’t I get no meds.I take no pain meds & they still drug test me. I checked w CDC u don’t need it. He lied & told me he did shots for dystonia. Now he says he doesn’t cuz it doesn’t make him enough money. Now he’s pushing a med implant on me cuz it will make him thousands. Also caught staff making fun of patients MANY times.

Pain Management
Dr Torry doesn't pull punches, he has always been very straight forward with me. If you are looking for a Dr. to be straight up with you Dr Torry see for you. If you are looking for a pill pusher go somewhere else. Dr Torry has always been honest with me and what I would be able to expect from treatment. Not to be pain free but achieve a level that allows me to live my life.

Things change... not always for the better
Was a long time patient and when dealing with Dr Torry, he was attentive and helped me with my pain. His staff has changed constantly and has caused many issues along the way. Horrid communication issues leading to prolonged prior authorization wait times due to loss documents or staff inability to find them in the system. After they upgraded to the new location, the level of attention to my care dropped. Very antagonistic clinic supervisors. Very rude and threatening when a mistake on their end has occurred. Messages never seem to reach providers on portal. Dr Torry seems very removed from my care and has become hard to see him. He does a lot of procedures it seems. It's sad when a Dr allows his clinic staff to do whatever they please without question.

OUTSTANDING!!
Dr Tory and his staff create a nice friendly environment for you. The doctors & PA’s listen to what is bothering & hurting you then creates a plan that includes meds, injections, diagnostics, RFA’s etc. I have been in pain management since 2007 and now thanks to his help I can function better than I have in a decade!! They go way beyond just giving you pills to try and help you live your best!!

Treat horribly, Part 1
Not sure why Part 1 wasn't published, so I will explain. Waited over an hour, was asked to leave urine sample, locked inside bathroom! There is no lock, there's a code I was not given. I had to bang until staff let me out. Is this not a fire hazard? After dr. entered, I asked if I could give him the jist of my issues...was told no. He then stated he saw a 'trend'. I asked what trend? He informed me that I don't do as I am told to do. I asked for examples. I did not wish to take a certain med from another dr. which that dr. was fine with and stated I could try pain mgt also, and PT. I explained I went months to PT until I had separate groin issue where I could not climb the stairs to get inside, nor walk w/o a walker. tbc

I admit that I have only seen Dr Torry once so I may later disagree with this assessment but I found him to be kind, on time and extremely knowledgeable. He doesn't know me yet so his I understand why he works a little timid about suggesting anything new at this point but he really did a nice job of listening to my concerns and offering ideas to address my issues and I found his attitude to be refreshing.
