Dr. Chetan Gujrathi, MD

I've attempted many times to get a return appointment, even called at 8 am waited until 5pm for someone to call me back as the promp said someone should, it never happened. Tried at other times staying on line waiting for the next available attendant, one time, after 4 hours of listening to their phone prompt, they hung up on me. I have tried 7 different times getting hung up on multiple times. One phone number for three offices is ineffecient. They either need 1) a better phone system, or 2)more employees to answer the phone.

At my first visit Dr. G seemed rather cold in his approach, nothing comforting to say. BUT my surgery went well and he had many parts of my throat biopsied to be sure there was no cancer. He was much more pleasant after surgery was done and explained everything he did and what he found. I told him he was a lot nicer now that the surgery was done and he told me he was afraid I would put off surgery if he wasn't blunt with me at the beginning.

It's interesting to me a theme here from many people as well as my own review on another review site. I wrote before seeing others is this doctor makes people feel like you are wasting his time. In addition, in my experience, I felt blamed. I was actually seen by different doctors first at AOC and had negative experiences this Dr. made me feel like it was my fault. He did comp my last appointment but they did not fix my outer ear infections. ..in fact diagnosing incorrectly the bumps in my ear...not even bothering to culture them...which a different ENT did do and found out it was MRSA filled (not just staph). So, anyway, I am thankful the very last appointment he comped me.. and he may be great with other patients as most of my misdiagnosing took place from other doctors in his office.. BUT I did get squeezed in with him and the attitude prevailed about wasting time and that this frustration and pain I am experiencing was somehow my fault.

I called this doctor's office to make an appointment. The name of the practice is: A.O.C. Physician's. Located at; 2222 East Highland Ave. Phoenix, Arizona. When I called her office it took a lot to get through to someone that I can make an appointment with, The voice answering device told me that they would give me a call back within 3 minutes that call back never came until 30 minutes later at least, in the meantime I had called to the office to make an appointment. I spoke with an appointment setter name Rena on January 4th 2021 at approximately 2:55 p.m.. Conversation with Rena, it was like talking with a person that was very inept at performing her job to say the least! Properly give the address of the office she left out the suite number I had to look that up myself when she told me she had January 29th available at 10:15 I said okay later in the conversation she asked what time would you like your appointment, just proves how much you really listened. She was preoccupied!

Dr. Gujrathi performed our 5 year old son's tonsillectomy/adenoidectomy and did an amazing job! Dr. Gujrathi was calm, confident and answered all of our questions which put us at ease. The surgery was extremely quick and Dr. Gujrathi was very helpful during post-op care helping to personally answer medicine questions once we arrived home. I would definitely recommend him and will use him if my daughter ever requires the same surgery. SO glad we came to him!!

DO NOT go to this DR. He was supposed to cauterize an area in my sinus for nose bleeds. He did 2 areas, hitting a main artery. I did not know he had done this right away. The nose bleed was back within 24 hrs, this time, bleeding uncontrollably. I contacted his office, they refused to see me, told me to go to an ER if I thought the bleeding was too much. Luckily, a co-worker knew another ENT that could see me right away. I had to go in for emergency surgery to stop an arterial bleed, caused by Dr. Gujrathi. I am extremely disappointed in him, his staff and the care offered to patients. My life was on the line and the best they could do was pawn me off on someone else. The best ENT on earth is DR SHAH.

He is amazing. Great surgeon. Explains everything. Kept my fear and terror about my surgery under control. I felt very secure with him that everything was going to be ok. He is very kind. Does not rush. Allows me to ask a million questions

He’s amazing really cares about you !! Came out of his way to take my drain tube out ..informs u of what to expect at each step before and after surgery ,,very impressed I’d highly recommend him to anyone..

I went to this Dr. after injuring my nose in a car accident. I was having trouble breathing out of my right nostril. The Dr.s assessment of my MRI was that I had a deviated septum & that I would have to determine if I could live with it. He was quite abrupt & made me feel like I was wasting his time. I went for a second opinion and the new Dr. showed me on the same MRI where the outer cartilage was smashed giving me an 85% obstruction. Gujrathi is unqualified.

Dr Gujrathi was not going to use clean equipment to look down my throat until I asked him to wash his hands. Also when he looked down my throat he missed a mass that I needed biopsied. A different ENT found the mass and has removed it.
