Dr. Chitra Kandaswamy, MD

First let me say the PA and Dr Kandaswamy are great. The problem is the staff could not care less. I've been waiting a month for my inhaler because of my insurance denying certain options. They don't fix it. They just do nothing. When you call you can't get anyone and they don't call back. Then when you do talk to them they don't know what is happening. They think you have your meds. It's a circle of ridiculous.

Consistently schedule 8 AM appointments and can be the ONLY patient there and I don’t get processed by front desk for 15-20 minutes after appointment time, then I don’t get called back for greater than 30 minutes. I assume whomever is supposed to see me isn’t even there on time. Gross disrespect for my time and my ride’s time.

After a CT scan, I was referred to Dr. Kandaswamy for a lung nodule. She recommended another CT scan in 6 months. I asked her how fast it would grow if it were cancerous, and she said it would most likely double in size in 3 mos. I told her I didn’t want to wait that long! Finally she said she would order another CT scan in 3 months. I waited, but nothing...After calling several times, she finally ordered the wrong test, so I had to reschedule. When I finally got the CT scan order, 5 months had passed. I had it done and was to see her next week. With COVID-19 here, I called and asked if she could call me with the results and then if I needed to go in I would. They said she would not do that. I left a msg with her NP, but no response. I called again and they wouldn’t transfer me; they would only relay a msg. When I told them my request they said no. I then got a copy of the results from Imaging and read them myself. I am not going to expose myself knowingly to the virus! Unbelievable.

She is an amazing doctor that took care of my sleep apnea promptly. I am able to sleep throughout the night without any issues after becoming her patient. 10/10 would reccomend for anyone else

The treatment received from Dr. Kandaswamy has greatly improved the quality of my life. After years of treatment by an allergist, my asthma and recurrent bronchial infections were out of control. She began a multi-faceted treatment plan following a more complex diagnosis and it has interrupted the cycle of asthma attacks and bronchitis.

I have not been pleased with her lack of bedside manner. She does not encourage the patient to ask more than two questions. (I had a good question that she ended up altering her answer to). As I asked the question she chuckled and started for the door. I felt this was rude and slightly humiliating. Go to someone who thinks their patients and their patients questions are important.
