I had a cyst in my breast. She cut all my nerves that I'm unable to feel my nipple. She gave me no warning of this happening. I should have had stitches for 2 weeks and had them 6 weeks. It's been more infected then it was before. I'm so upset. I'm deformed for life and once nerves are cut you never get them back. Thanks Dr. I thought I did my research but I failed. I hope your happy because I am not.

Tiny Dr with great bedside manner
Dr. Bourne is the gentlest exam I have ever had but she feels it all. Her manner is so concerned for your pain tolerance. I liked her so well that I followed her from one practice to another because she felt she could give better care for her patients. I call her tiny because she is short like me, never intimidating. (Being small, that happens a lot!) If you want to feel like you are genuinely cared for, this is the surgeon for you.

Dr Bourne is a very competent, caring surgeon. I recently had a surgical breast biopsy and her treatment and skill was outstanding. I had minimal pain and bruising and her follow up care is just as comprehensive. I have the utmost confidence and trust in Dr. Bourne and would recommend all my family and friends to her. She is a sweet, caring person with a genuine concern for her patients well being. I searched many surgeons in the Valley and hit the “ jackpot when I was referred to Dr. Bourne.

I have been a practicing dentist for 48 years. My wife was in need of an excisional biopsy. I have not met a more knowledgeable, compassionate and caring surgeon then Dr. Bourne. Working out of Piper Surgery, a fearful experience, was handled with professionalism by all the wonderful nurses, Drs., and staff. I highly recommend Dr. Christi Bourne and the Piper Surgical Center.

I was referred to Dr. Bourne and waited for 2 hrs to see her. She came in to the examining room and told me she doesn’t treat my condition and walked out. I still was billed ! I have called 4x and keep getting the run around from the office.

Dr. Bourne is amazing! She recently did a lumpectomy on me and I can't speak highly enough for her skill as a surgeon, care for her me as a patient, and intense listening to concerns from me and my husband. I had followed her for years since we have breast cancer in my family and I have known several women who she has performed surgery on who felt she was the best in Phoenix. I have nothing but respect and admiration for Dr. Bourne. She is kind, skillful, a great bedside manner, and deserves the accolades of her peers as one of Arizona's Top Docs.

Charming doctor, but not current with latest info relevant to my case. I went thru 3 consultations & she was in direct opposite of the 2. Also, told me to stay on HRT even tho all others told me to stop. She was not for me. Office process not the best. Can't even get your phone number, right. Their low morale increase my angst. Old office type of environment does not help. Old equipment. Computer could not read disc of mammograms.

Dr. Bourne was my second opinion surgeon when I wa diagnosed with breast cancer in 2004. I knew I was in good hands as soon as I met her. She is caring, patient and an excellent surgeon. She never makes you feel rushed and answers all of your questions. I ended up having her perform my bilateral mastectomy, when I decided on it, a few years later. She wasn't listed as a Top Doc in Phoenix Magazine back then, but she is now. Her peers voted her as one of the best because she is.

I was diagnosed with breast cancer 20 years ago, and Dr Bourne was my "second opinion" doctor...she was thorough and reassured me about my decision about a mastectomy. Now 20 years later, I have a second DCIS breast cancer, and she is my first choice for my surgeon...

This doctor is terrible. She orders unnecessary and redundant biopsy, tests and surgeries. I had an infection in the incision she performed , then insisted on a second surgery fora precancerous situation, and cut into the infected incision. Her staff refused to give me an appointment to remove the stiches and told me to cut them out myself, before hanging up on me. I have been ill since then(2years). She also did unnecessary lymph node removal, and I developed lymphedema in the breast.

I scheduled an appointment and found the process to be awkward, laborious and uncomfortable. The intake person was more concerned about herself than me and my situation. Communication was extremely poor. It was a clear indication of what my overall experience would be. Given my diagnosis, I chose to cancel the appointment and avoid the stress that this office would clearly cause me. The patient experience from the first person answering the phone provided loud warnings. (22 min to schedule)
