Eyebrow lift from Dr. Choe
I had a falling brow and could not hardly see. Dr. Choe did an awesome job, no scarring. Surgery was easy. I can see so much better. People think I'm wearing blue eye contacts, but it's only because you can see my eyes better and you can see how bright blue my eyes are almost like when I was younger. I highly recommend her. The staff are very sweet and very kind to work with.

Eyelid surgery
I had had eyelid surgery (one eye) 20 years ago with Dr. VanKirk. She was amazing but now retired, so I have someone to compare with. Dr. Choe was recommended by my optometrist. She does talk very fast, and you feel rushed. That’s not a deal breaker for me. However, she said if she did both my eyes, the chances were greater of getting my eyes to match. Although, one eye was normal, I agreed. She was much rougher during surgery than Dr. VanKirk, and one of my eyes is noticeably more open, so I am no better off. She offered to redo, but I did not want to go through that again. It has now been 7 months, and not much change. Hopefully, the wide open eye will settle down and relax in the future. Fortunately, I wear glasses. I would not recommend except in an emergency. On a positive note, her office staff was very sweet.

Rushed, and not connected
Ok doc, a very rushed, false personality. We get it sweetie, we don’t wanna be here either… But we’re paying for it and one means or another, so slow down relax and realize you’ll be our age one day very soon.

My husband had the worst experience of his 57 year life with this dr. We waited 2 hours for his surgery during Covid in the office. His entire surgery experience was a nightmare. No one ordered his medication ahead of time or told him he would need it and the pharmacies were all closing when he left the office and then the pharmacy didn’t even have his rx when we arrived they said it was never sent over. By this time the dr had already gone home for the weekend. He wasn’t informed him of the specifics of the procedure and injection pain level was extremely unbearable, the pain level was a 10+ and no meds were discussed or offered they threw general sheets of instructions at him as he was rushed out of the office, he wasn’t aware he couldn’t drive home himself, no one informed him both eyes were bleeding and closed shut when he left the office.

The worst. Long wait then rushed in with assistants. Began giving me extremely painful injections in my eyelid with no warning. Took a biopsy, said she’d call me with the results and took off. Left me with a large sac of fluid under my eye and I looked awful. I asked the assistant as they were leaving what I should be doing with the mess they left me with and she informed me they were leaving a sheet with instructions and info on the chair for me. I would NEVER go back to this doctor

Each visit was professionally addressed by Dr. Choe, an exact surgeon. HOWEVER, expect very long waits, both in the waiting room and in the exam room, where you'll feel closed and trapped. Each visit had a 2+ hr wait for a 5 minute exam. What is amazing is that asking for the first appointment of the day at 8:30 am, to avoid that wait time, was later disclosed to me by Dr. Choe ~ her nanny doesn't even arrive until 9 a.m., making her begin each day at 9:30+ am with a pile up of patients doomed to a long wait. When considering the hours of wasted time, being booked at the Asheville location without being informed of such, which required over 4 hours of wait/drive time and cancellation of all other activities of the day, it is smacks of complete lack of respect given to patients in need, making it most difficult to subject anyone to this un-healthy treatment via a referral. I'm not the only one with this experience!!! It is simply missing "healthy" attitudes/efficient management.

Had eyelid surgery in December, 2019 to improve my range of vision. Dr. Choe did a great job of explaining the procedure, which was painless and very effective. What an improvement. Thank you Dr Choe for a job well done. I would recommend you and your great staff to anyone.

Condescending. Rushed. Did not provide what I asked for. Asked to sign consent form when I had consented to NOTHING. The entire office was unprofessional.

I recently had Eyelid surgery performed by Dr Christina Choe. Dr Choe & her staff were very patient, professional, explained the procedure and answered all of my questions. The surgery went smoothly with Dr. Choe explaining what to expect at each step of the procedure. I am very pleased with the results. My eyes look so natural, in fact several of my friends have commented that my face is so bright..they do not know that I had the surgery. My only regret is that I did not have this done sooner.

My chronic stye infection was solved quickly and painlessly by Dr. Choe. In recent years, my eyelids had become increasingly droopy and extremely uneven in their elevation. After discussing this concern with Dr. Choe, an exam revealed that my field of vision was extremely impaired. The lid-lift that followed as in-office surgery was easy and the recovery time minimal. Dr. Choe made the process flow, and the results are truly incredible.

Dr Choe knows her stuff when it comes to the eyes. I would recommend her to anyone have eye difficulties. She is top notch. She even took time out of her busy day to call me and go over options regarding my double vision.

Had to have skin cancer removed just below the lower eye lid. Mohs doctor could not do the skin graph that was needed after the growth was removed. He referred me to Dr. Choe. She did the skin graph with the most amazing skill. She and her team were wonderful through the surgery and the after care. By-the-way, there is no scar where she did the surgery and if you did not know the surgery was performed you could not find it. Wonderful, wonderful doctor and staff. Highly recommend!!
