After seeing Dr. Highly she said she would send a referral for a physical therapist. I waited a few weeks and then called the office to find out a referral was never made. Eight weeks later, my daughter saw Dr. Highly who said she would make a referral to a neurologist. Also….a referral was never made to the central referral agency. Twice in the period of eight weeks the same mistake was made! I’m certain we couldn’t be the only people that they have made mistakes with. I tried to call Dr. Highly FOUR times to discuss the problem with her office not making referrals. Ideally, I would have gotten acknowledgement of mistakes that were made and a plan so she/her office wouldn’t keep making these mistakes. Unfortunately, no one ever called me back. I was very clear that I wanted a call. It seems as if there is no acknowledgement of the problems they are having. Mistakes sometimes happen, but I don’t think I want to go to a doctor that won’t acknowledge or work to correct the mistakes.

I recently changed my primary care provider to Dr. Highly since we moved to Norman. Prior to my initial appointment, her office sent me paperwork to complete, including my medical history. Upon my visit, it was apparent that Dr. Highley had thoroughly reviewed my history, as she had a few questions to verify certain details, such as why I took certain meds. I never felt rushed and thought she was very thorough and listened to what I said. Later, I required a referral and her staff set that up promptly.

My initial visit was standard and tests were ordered. I could see lab results in the system and waited for the clinic to contact me. Ultimately, I had to contact the office weeks later to get any information and to remind them why I was seeking care. Based on these interactions, a nurse read an apology letter and action plan from Dr. Highley to me over the phone, so I gave the practice another chance. However, after more visits and expensive tests, I continued to have to check-in and remind the clinic why I was seeking medical care. Ultimately, necessary referrals were never made and I stopped going to Dr. Highley. This took place over 8 months, while a new provider made all of the necessary referrals within a month and for much less money/time. I reported these issues to the billing department and was contacted by the clinic supervisor. According to the supervisor these issues were addressed. While I will not be seeking medical care at this clinic, the new reviews suggest improvement.

Dr. Highley was so wonderful! I've never had a doctor take the time to sit with me and truly discuss my family history, my health, etc. so in depth. She did not make me feel rushed at all. I am so glad to have found a doctor that truly cares about her patients, it makes all the difference!

I went to new patient appointment. Office staff was courteous and helpful. I was told I should have been 30 minutes early with paperwork completed. Paperwork was never mailed to me. I had my paperwork completed by the time I was scheduled to be there. I was informed that Dr. Highley’s nurse said I would not be seen and I needed to reschedule. It was a lack of concern for my time and extremely poor customer service from the medical staff. No one was in the waiting room, so it was not due to over scheduling. Office staff apologized, but I will not return.

I had my first appointment with Dr Highley today. My Dr. of 30 years retired due to health concerns. My appointment included taking a lengthy history . Dr Highley was extremely patient, listened , made eye contact, asked questions. The staff was courteous and professional . My husband and I were so impressed that my husband requested paperwork to move his medical records to Dr Highley. Nice to have a family dr for both of us! Nice to have a lab on site too.

I requested a specific lab test be done with the others she wanted to run and she was rude about it. Lab results came in the next day, however I didn't hear back from her office until 6 weeks later. Naturally, I found a new doctor within that time frame and have been being treated for over a month now. How does it take 6 weeks to get back to someone about results? Would not recommend at all.

My wife went to her for a bleeding in the urinary track and other issues. She basically blew her off, not listening to her symptoms, not taking her comments into consideration. No lab test, Very unprofessional. I would not recommend her.
