Incredible
I’ve been a patient of Dr. Childs for 20 years. I can’t say enough great things about her. She’s always been available to help me, even going out of her way to make sure I was taken care of as a patient. Dr. Child’s is one of the reasons I’m here today and I’m the person I am.

Told me I'd need meds for the rest of my life...
No informed consent; few side effects mentioned are presented as rare, coincidental, and mild. Diagnoses & drugs given without any real rationale. Gives you very little agency in decision-making, but pretends like you're in charge & you can trust her. Says, 'we can lower your dose or take you off the drug(s) if you're doing really well,' but in reality, she'll always keep you on it, saying that the drugs are the reason why you're doing well, so you can't go off them. Basically 2 options in her view- 1) stay on same drugs at same dose, or 2) increase dose or # of drugs you're on- but reducing is never an option; then she loses a patient & loses $$. Doesn't care about patients, just their 'functioning' & $$ coming into her pocket. Eventually quit my meds on my own, since she wouldn't help me; I suffered severe withdrawals, even tho I was told they weren't addictive. I'm doing fine a year later, better than I was on meds. Don't go to her unless you wanna be drugged the rest of your life.

I have been going to Dr. Childs for several years. She is very attentive to what I have to say about how I'm feeling. I go twice a year for medication management and my condition (bipolar) remains stable. She took over after an older doctor retired and it is good to know that she will likely be available as I get older.

I had several appointments and didn't feel like she was very invested in me personally. It felt more like checking the boxes. The final straw was when her office tried to charge me for missing an appointment when they wrote the wrong date on the appointment card (they also said it wasn't their responsibility to provide a reminder call/text/email). This was a couple years ago, so maybe things have changed, but that was enough of a sign that it was time to find someone else.

Below average in all respects. Very unprofessional to advise a patient to seek illicit drug sales.

No response to two calls in two weeks. Already an established patient and needed help. Changed Drs ASAP.

She like to put her personal beliefs into treatment instead of listening to patients. She is very cold and distant.

Christine Childs does not explain the potential side effects of the medication she prescribes, nor does she tell a patient a medication may be difficult to come off of. She doesn't respond to voicemail in a timely fashion, even when a patient is having a reaction to prescribed medication. She doesn't answer questions about how to better deal with or how to minimize the side effects. I had to find out that information on google.
