Dangerously Stubborn
I have a complex chronic illness. Dr. Bogan refused to educate himself about it during his time treating me, which led to very negative consequences for my health. He got defensive and even combative when his treatment was questioned and seemed to take offense at the notion a patient could help inform a physician. I'm in the process of filing a formal complaint against him after my last (and last ever) visit to him, in which he questioned the diagnosis I've received from multiple specialists, accused me of "lecturing" him when I tried advocating on my own behalf, and walked out of the room when my girlfriend tried to ask him questions regarding disability. I wouldn't let him treat anything more dangerous than a mild cold.

I only saw Dr. Bogan once, because I live out of state and I made a last minute appointment. He was extremely kind, attentive, and thorough in his examination. He asked lots of questions and had great bedside manner. He scheduled a CT scan for me as a precaution. A few hours after I got the scan the next day, he emailed me with results and put my worries to rest. He didn't know, but it was my birthday. I was so relieved. I never got to thank him for informing me so quickly. Thank you, Dr. Bogan!

Not sure why someone would give Dr. Bogan any less than five stars. I started seeing him when he first started with the Dupage medical group and enjoyed every visit over the three years I was his patient. Unfortunately he moved back to his home state of Michigan and I will have to fine someone new. I can tell you he is very attentive and never brushes you off as a problem patient. In my experience he always showed concern and took his time to try and determine the best course of action.

I have never had a worse or more dismissive experience with a doctor before than with Dr. Bogan. I have been going to DMG my whole life and he has by far the worst bedside manner. I provided my symptoms he saw me for 3 mins and said I had a cold and go get cough medicine, even though I've had a productive cough for 6 weeks and was in 3 weeks prior to see his colleague. Now I've had a fever for 4 days straight as well. Don't be so quick to dismiss your patients!
