A year of pain
I first thought the world of Dr. Dillingham. I woke up one day unable to lift my arm without a lot of pain. They tried cortisone shots, but they only worked for a short time. Dillingham supported surgery since nothing else was working. From the time of that surgery, my life has never been the same. I explained every appointment how much pain I was experiencing. I was always told, “it just takes a long time to heal.” I knew something was deeply wrong, but I was never listened to. A year later, he said he could not explain the pain. I switched doctors. After a 10 minute visit, new doc said he thought the source of pain was my neck. Ordered MRI of spine. I have sever stenosis in c5 and c6, and require neurosurgery. I have never regretted anything as much in my life as my failure to get a second opinion, and not seeing a doctor who would do every diagnostic prior to surgery to ensure it was the right decision. While I hope that fixing spine helps pain, my shoulder will never recover

This is John DePalma and I saw Dr. Dillingham last week regarding my workers comp issue with my bicep tear. If I have the surgery will I still be able to drive our guests in the hotel shuttle. Dr. said it would take about 4 months to recover. Can someone get back to me at 941-961-9366?

Dr. Dillingham is a very conscientious doctor. The initial exam the problem would not show it's ugly face. But, Dr. Dillingham didn't give up, and he finally found the problem. He actually talks to you, answers questions, and gave me a feeling of confidence and caring, what you just don't get these days. My surgery is done, in recovery, and I feel very optimistic on a good outcome. His whole staff is very friendly, efficient, and I will definitely recommend this doctor.

Absolutely great about explaining details of condition. Offers options. Also gave great detail of the surgery which I appreciated. mAybe some patients would want quite the detail I asked for but he was very willing to share all the complete steps of the surgery and the recouperation period for example to make an educated decision. Will review him again after the surgery but am not worried to put me in his hands.

This Doctor is my HERO. After suffering for 5 years and several operations(right knee) and replacement it was time to get my left knee replaced. Right knee was replaced by another well known Orthopaedic Surgeon in the area. After a year of pain he realized that something was wrong and said it couldn't be fixed, but he tried and failed. Went to Dr. D and he advised me that if I ever had to get left knee replaced he would try to re-repair my right knee. It worked. We love you Dr. D.
