This surgeon did things in surgery that wasn’t supposed to be done or discussed prior to surgery. They over billed me for a physican assistant who was supposed to be in network who they hadn’t put in network and I had meet my deductible and out of pocket so it should have been covered 100%, but it wasn’t. Also it’s been two years since my surgery and I’m still have bad muscle spasms, cramps, problems with the fusion that was does that wasn’t supposed to be done and a tendon transfer that was unsuccessful. I had got three other opinions by three other foot and ankle specialist and they all said the surgery the doctor Edwards did was unsuccessful and that now a complete fusion would need to be done. The moral of the story is I would have never let this doctor cut into me if I would have known he would make my life worse. Surgeons get paid thousands of dollars every time they do a surgery or cut into someone so sometimes you have to be your own advocate for yourself.

I had a tendon transfer along with a arch rebuild and it was a horrible experience I had surgery in February and was still on crutches in June. He was not forthcoming and honest about what he put in my foot and ankle or what he did. He never came to visit me in the recovery room or to tell me that I was going to be admitted when I was to be a outpatient. When I went back for follow up appointments I felt rushed. They had my surgery being on the right foot but it was on the left.

Dr Edwards is a very nice and personable doctor but the wait times to see him have been inordinately long both in the main waiting room and in the examining waiting room. Waited almost an hour in the examination room for the dr. after being initially logged-in by the PA.
