Dr. Christopher Ellingson, MD

It was easy to obtain an appointment with minimal wait time from when I called, I was seen in a timely manner of my appointment time; prior to being seen, Dr. Ellingson had reviewed my MRI and xrays which I had brought the disk with me, was thorough in his examination of my problem, took the time to review and show me the MRI and explain the problem; discussed in detail the treatment options. I did not have to ask a lot of questions because he addressed everything adequately. Very professional and caring as well.

Dr Ellington also works as a Medical Examiner. In my case it was a work injury (grade 3 AC joint separation). Dr Ellingson disputed my Physician by 54% which was a huge reduction in my settlement. It appears Dr. Ellingson was not concerned with my injury or my future, just to attack my injury and my Physicians medical opinion. This was done to reduce the insurance companies injury payment. In my opinion Dr Ellingson is a sellout and a disgrace to the medical profession.

The fact that this man is a doctor and people put their trust in him being injured is mind-blowing. The things that this doctor will do to your case are unbelievable. He writes down half of everything you tell him and then gives a faulty examination and lies about it because he cares more for insurance money. And before you realize what's going on he leaves the room. I wouldn't speak to him ever again . My brain and nerves are number one and the fact that a trusted doctor lies through his teeth damages those things and a doctor should know that those things are number one and any doctor who doesn't say that isn't a doctor like Chris

Scheduled an appointment with Dr Ellingson concerning knee pain I was having. Was able to schedule the appointment easily and was seen 3 days later. X-rays were taken then viewed by Dr Ellingson prior to meeting him. Virtually no wait between X-ray and exam. Dr was very personable and listened to my symptoms and answered all questions. I found him to be professional with a welcoming personality. I have already scheduled a follow up with after my MRI.

He is very knowledgeable and has a great bedside manner.

Dr Ellingson was very professional, explained everything that was wrong, all the treatment needed. Very polite, respectful, made me feel very comfortable.

Dr. Ellingson clearly explained my physical exam results & what my problem was. He described the various treatments available & we agreed upon a treatment plan. I would definitely recommend Dr. Ellingson to others.

I have an uncommon genetic condition that results in a lot of laxity and chronic problems. Dr. Ellingson initially acted like he was familiar with my condition, however once I started going over my relevant medical history he kept telling me me that what I was talking about was very rare. While that may be true for the general population, it's unfortunately common for people with my condition and was a red flag that he was not actually familiar with my issue. He also said he wouldn't be comfortable operating on someone with my condition unless it was excruciating and interfering with my life (which it is). Finally, after talking about being in PT for years, he recommended MORE PT. If it wasn't so frustrating, it might have been comical.

My experience at OrthoVa was an excellent one. Dr. Ellingson took great care in explaining everything he found during my examination. His expertise within his field was truly apparent as he was very detailed and focused, in reference to my medical complaints. Dr Ellingson along with the staff were very professional and my visit was top notch!!!

I have found Dr. Ellingson to be uniformly courteous, patient (no pun intended), insightful and thoroughly knowledgeable. During his examination, he listens attentively and in concert with a detailed review of clinical results (e.g., radiology), makes an informed assessment. While there are orthopedists in and near my neighborhood, I make the 25 minute drive to see Dr. Ellingson precisely because of his bedside manner and my confidence in his skills.

Dr Ellington did acl and meniscus repair on my son due to a sports injury. He was amazing. Answered every question we had, explained everything he would be doing from his first appointment to our last. Very caring and compassionate.
