Great experience with the visit.

Dr. Forthman has fixed three of my fingers and now going for a fourth . He is always upbeat and listens to what the patient wants. Never pushes surgery.

Easy and kind check in process. Reasonably short wait with a lively staff.

Dr. Forthman has a very knowledgeable, calming presence. You immediately feel like he is diagnosing your condition in a caring yet simple manner. I have seen numerous doctors over the years and I can say unequivocally that his caring demeanor and medical expertise stand out as a leader in his field. He thoroughly explains his diagnosis in layman’s terms after performing a straightforward evaluation, making you feel like you will achieve the best possible outcome. There is no guessing or any preconceived notion about what your condition is although he likely has seen it before in his practice. I cannot stress enough how he puts you at ease that you will receive the best care possible just by the way he handles your appointments and communications. I highly recommend Dr. Forthman to anyone looking for a compassionate medical expert in treating conditions affecting the hand, wrist, elbow, and arm.

With the pressure from insurance companies, few doctors feel they can take the time to really listen to their patients. Dr Forthman, however, is a listener! I don’t feel rushed through my appointment, and he carefully outlines alternatives.

My diagnosis was given to me and treatment options were discussed in a manner that I could understand. I never felt rushed. I will schedule surgery in the near future but until then I was given two injections to help in the mean time. Never even felt them!I wouldn't go to anyone else! I worked with him for years in the OR and he has mad skills and great personality!!

This was just a routine follow up visit for problems I've had with my left hand. Dr. Forthman did surgery in June but has been helping me with my recovery ever since. I highly recommend him if you need a Hand Specialist. He does great work and gives great advice before and after surgery.
