Outstanding Surgeon
Dr. Helak is a very skilled surgeon. He was on-call at the hospital when I had a ruptured appendix. He did an excellent job—precise and thorough. There were not any complications afterwards, and my incision is healing well. In addition, Dr. Helak is very personable and compassionate. I am very grateful for his expertise and highly recommend him.

Dr. Helak is a great surgeon. I had gastric bypass surgery in 2020 and just had thyroid surgery. He's the best. I wouldn't trust any other surgeon. I had no problems recovering after either surgery. He explained everything to me before surgery and the after care process. He's very friendly and most of all he cares about his patients!

My experience with Dr. Hrlac was very poor.. 1. He cancelled my release from C C H S Hospital insisting on Vascular Surgery in a very Unprofessional Way with unnecessary Arrogance, after my Hospitalist Discharged me. Dr Helak insisted that my Vascular Surgery be done the following day. I insisted on a Second Opinion, and also that I had a water heater emergency at home. He denied my Discharge and my prescriptions for Antibiotics and a ride home and squeezed my injured FOOT, causing great Pain for no reason at all. My own Vascular Surgeon stated, pending my records, that he saw no reason for the and Prescribed Antibiotics and that it would be very Risky during the Pandemic and prescribed antibiotics. Thanks to my own Doctor my foot is healed

I have been seeing Dr. Helak since Sept 2018.. he has always been very straight forward with me and has explained things to me to where I can understand them. I have been seeing him for weight lost and he has performed surgery to remove my apron ( that's the bottom of stomach that was sagging due to my weight lost) the surgery went great and I was very pleased with having such a great doctor for God to guide his hands. Tremendous job and explained the surgery to me in great detail. I would highly recommend Dr.Helak to anyone
