Experienced, Compassionate Specialist
Dr. Iveson ordered the correct chest CTs, both prone and supine, which a pulmonologist had failed to do, and gave me a definitive diagnosis for my asbestos-related lung diseases. The whole group at University of Iowa City Hospitals and Clinics worked as a team. I had the CTs at 1:45 pm. At 2 pm I met with Dr. Iverson in his office. At 2:10 he had the radiologist's findings. By 2:15 he had read them and gave me his diagnosis. He took the time to carefully explain what my conditions meant and went so far as to write a To Whom It May Concern letter on my behalf detailing my conditions, and how asbestos caused them, that I could use to help me with the Veterans Administration. I have full confidence in Dr. Iverson and indeed the entire staff of the Hospitals and Clinics.
