NEVER Again
The entire staff was rushed and rude. Dr. Ives was dismissive and also rude. He came into the exam room, sat back in his chair (all judgy), and REFUSED to exam me. He straight up told me 'You are just fat. You don't have a hernia.' WELL, joke is on him, because during a recent surgery, my surgeon DID find an abdominal wall hernia and now steps are being made to repair it! DO NOT USE DR. IVES!

Our whole family have been patients of Dr Ives since 1995. He has always taken very good care of us. Empathetic and thorough.

Excellent doctor, great staff, and great explanation of my procedure. I had a colonoscopy without sedation (at my request) and he talked me through every part. Pain free, worry free and I highly recommend him.

Dr. Ives is a supremely excellent doctor and his nurse is superb too. From the first appointment I had at the office to the colonoscopy in the hospital--- Dr. Ives and his nurse were both phenomenally focused, interested, solicitous, knowledgeable and incredibly professional. Dr. Ives took the time to carefully explain everything about the colonoscopy and his nurse was also extraordinarily informative and helpful. Dr. Ives and his nurse (Jennifer) are both absolutely first rate medical professionals. Despite the fact that they are a very busy practice they both take the time to carefully explain everything that you need to know and they patiently listen to your questions and they provide all the information that you need regarding the colonoscopy. Without equivocation I endorse Dr. Ives and his nurse Jennifer if you plan to have a colonoscopy. You will be in the hands of a very experienced and knowledgeable highly professional doctor with Dr. Ives and his nurse is excellent.

A Patient of Dr. Ives – Feb 12, 2021

Definitely the worst Doctors Experience Ever! I’m not the person to leave bad reviews, but this experience with Dr. Ives has been bothering me for weeks. I was hospitalized for a GI Bleed. I was diagnosed with Ulcer Disease, and had symptomatic Anemia due to blood loss. My Hemoglobin levels were really low and I had to have a blood transfusion. Weeks later I followed up with Dr. Ives and scheduled an EGD. All the nurses and staff were very pleasant. However, Dr. Ives came off very rude, and didn’t take the time to talk to me about what’s going on with me. He just said “Everything looks good” and walked off. I had questions that I wanted to ask him, but he had left before I could even get a chance to get them out. I had medical records that I wanted him to look at, but he didn’t take the time to talk with me. I had 3 abnormal blood test results, and he couldn’t even make time to discuss it with me. I had to get one of the nurses to tell Dr. Ives that I had some questions for him. Wh

I was referred to Dr. Ives by my Gynecologist Office. I didn't like his interview as others have complained about in their reviews. I went in for a colonoscopy on August 21, 2019 and Dr. Ives cut a hole in my colon. I was required to have emergency surgery to repair the hole by a surgeon and was in the hospital for 3 days. I am 74 years old and didn't need the pain and suffering I endured. He didn't bill me but my insurance had to pay for the surgery and hospital bills which came to over $13,000. I hope this at least makes him pay attention to what he is doing and being nicer in his interviews. I wouldn't refer him to anyone!!

Makes spouse sit in waiting room, sometimes a spouse is needed to help remember diagnosis, must not read reviews. Spouses do not tag along for the fun of it. Lighten up doc !!

Extremely disappointing. Doctor was rude, condescending and spent less than 5 minutes with me after being in his office for over an hour. His assistant was very nice.

My husband, 59 years of age, went to see Dr Ives on Monday, for two reasons: 1) He needed yearly colonoscopy due to history of pre cancerous polyps and 2) he had been having stabbing pains in stomach and nausea, daily, that was worsening. He was diagnosed last year with Tempero frontal lobe dementia. It is massively important that he is not sedated much or very often. Both reasons for visit were on his chart. When the nurse called us back, I was asked to sit in lobby and they would come back to get me in a moment. I thought the reason was to ask my husband personal questions, so no big deal. While he waited for the Dr to come in, and with me in the waiting room, he started texting me. I calmed him down, (remember, he has TFL dementia). I was waiting for them to come and get me and was going to explain the new diagnosis to Dr Ives and discuss his daily stomach pain and nausea and possibility of him needing both upper and lower scope. Of course, I thought Dr Ives being a GI specialist

Great doctor and staff! punctual and efficient. Although I have only met him one time. He was all ears for any questions and very personable. Had my procedure done at the hospital and it was in and out within about 2 hours. Thanks Doc!

Perhaps an exception. 7:00am appointment. 8:45am and still in waiting room. 4 others here before me and they are also still waiting. This length waiting is indicative of the false assumption that The patients time is not important. Some waiting is expected and necessary for effective processing. But the above is simply unacceptable. I’m more than a patient with patience. I’m a paying customer!!!!!!
