First Consultation
Dr. Lau was thorough and answered all my questions. He assured me my aneurysm doesn't require surgery now and will continue to monitor it with regular scans. It was a great relief to know there is no immediate issue.

Superb Surgeon
Dr. Lau performed an aortic valve replacement on my heart (Ross procedure). When he saw my heart he realized that my mitrial valve needed repairing as well as an ascending aortic aneurysm. He fixed all problems, both planned and unforseen, in one surgery. It's been a little over a month now, and I'm recovering fine. Also, my sister works at a hospital in Syracuse, NY, and the cardiac doctors that work there knew who he was, so his reputation precedes him. Highly recommend.

Aortic Valve Replacement
Dr. Lau is an amazing surgeon who has a great team. He replaced my aortic heart valve about 3 weeks ago and my recovery has been better than expected. I cannot recommend Dr. Lau, his team and the staff of Weill Cornell more.

Great Surgeon
Dr Lau is a brilliant surgeon, which I expect at Weill-Cornell, and also empathetic, patient and reassuring!! A few Doctors on my case were a little brusque but Dr Lau, especially in his office, made me feel important and comfortable!! Hopefully I won’t need more cardiac surgery but if I do I’d return to Doctor Lau!!

Excellent care
Dr is exactly what a doctor should be. He is amazing and I am lucky that he was my surgeon for a triple bypass. I felt comfortable with him and he visited me everyday while I was in ICU once in the morning and in the afternoon. His bedside manner was the best and I hope more doctors are like him.

Excellent Visit
I had post operative discomfort and visited Dr. Lau. He was very engaged with my problem and offered excellent advice. As he foresaw, the discomfort faded away with time. Most importantly, he indicated that he was happy to follow up, should the discomfort not be eliminated, but, fortunately, that was not necessary.
