Dr. Christopher Lieu, MD

Dr. Lieu has been my oncologist, and now my friend, at UC Health. We first met in 2019, not long after my whipple surgery. I am blessed and very thankful for his caring, guidance, knowledge and professionalism through my cancer journey. He is very responsive and understands his patients needs based on his education and experience. He understands each patient is unique and goes above and beyond to treat each individual with respect and kindness, including me with my rare form of cancer (neuroendocrine tumors). I highly recommend that you and/or your family seek out Dr. Lieu if you are faced with this dreaded disease. I love you Dr. Lieu. Thank you for being there for me.

There were few bright spots in my mom's battle with stage 4 pancreatic cancer, but Dr Lieu was certainly one of them. His care for my mom was above and beyond at every step. He treated her with so much compassion/respect and was consistently someone she relied upon and trusted entirely. He was always very prepared whenever we met with him and he handled every emergency that came up with clear instructions that were easy for us to follow. He's a wonderful human being and doctor, we felt very lucky to have had him on my mom's team.

Dr. Lieu has been a great oncologist for me and I would not go to another physician. His care and guidance during my illness was the best it could have been and he always went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable/understood my treatment and the next phase in my recovery.

We appreciate Dr. Lieu's care and compassion, and for taking such great care of us and our family during such a stressful time. He spent as much time as we needed at each visit, and he made himself available whenever we needed anything. Would recommend Dr. Lieu every time!

If you have been diagnosed with any cancer, please check out the Multidisciplinary Clinics at University of Colorado Hospital. That is where I met Dr. Lieu, along with literally 3 other doctors from different specialties. What would have taken 2 months literally took one day. They are wonderful!

I'm alive today because of Dr. Lieu and his team.

Dr. Lieu literally saved my wife's life. When others couldn't help us, he gave us a new treatment plan which made all the difference in the world. He has a wonderful bedside manner, and he always takes the time to answer all of our questions. Thank you Dr. Lieu!

Dr. Lieu's poor choices for cancer treatment led to the death of my husband & possibly others I know! My husband expressed a grave concern about an immunotherapy trtmnt Dr. Lieu presented to him. Regardless, Dr. Lieu convinced him to do it. Within days of the first trmnt, the immunotherapy drug fatally injured his liver. 18 days later he died. Then to make matters worse, Dr. Lieu had the audacity to bill 100's of dollars for coming to my husband's death bed to tell him he was dying! Seriously?

He's amazing. Makes you feel like family. His concern is genuine and it shows. If you're unlucky enough to need an oncologist, this is the guy you want on your team. He explains everything thoroughly and helps you maintain a sense of control at a time when you have very little. He never accepts an answer as "good enough". He always took the time to investigate any potential problem. Thank you Dr Lieu!

Dr Lieu has great bedside manner, is a clinical expert in his field and is honest, trustworthy and encouraging. My husband's treatment plan was based on up to date research and included radiation, chemotherapy, surgery and biotherapy. He is great at finding innovative treatment options for his patients and is an incredible support to the family members fighting cancer alongside their loved ones. I can't say enough about Dr. Lieu he is exceptional! He teaches and gives hope in difficult times!
