Dr. Monahan performed the anesthesia for my total knee replacement and recommended an epidural because I would be breathing on my own, which had great appeal to me. I have scoliosis and was very concerned, however Dr. Monahan advised he could try it and if he felt at anytime it wouldn’t work, he would stop. My second fear of it was the potential for pain as he did it. I need not have worried. It went according to plan and I have requested him when I do my other knee. Dr. Monahan did a wonderful job and I recommend him for any surgery you have done.
