Lack of attention
My mother has been a pt with Dr. Oh for over a decade. Unfortunately with time the attention to her health and respect he and his staff shows for her decreases every time. He blames every one of her symptoms on her age (she is 70) and brushes her off telling her to see her primary care provider if she ask questions about her Heath condition. For example, she asked about constant headaches and asked if it’s related to her medications or uncontrolled blood pressure. His answer is I am not treating your head. He also gets very defensive when She ask questions about the treatments he has her on and uses fear tactics instead of medical reasons when he proposes medical interventions. I am looking to get a new doctor for my mom and has been very difficult with her insurance . Hope this does happens to other pts.

I have been a patient of Dr. Oh for more than 14 years and have great confidence in his medical skills. He always takes time to listen to me and to explain issues so that I have a full understanding of the issue and treatment options. I highly recommend him.

Dr. Oh takes very good care of me. He would like me to lose weight but I will NEVER have a Playboy body again so size 16 at 86 years old suits me just fine. Dr. Oh is a wonderful Dr. and I have complete confidence in him. It is always a joy to visit him even knowing he tolerates my defiance about my diet! He doesn't like my eating prepared foods because of the preservatives in them. Well, at my age I need all the preservatives I can get!!!

Dr. Oh has been my cardiologist for more than 10 years. He KNOWS ME, inside and out. Every checkup follows a blood workup. He has fine tuned my medications to the point they are very few. I have put my trust and indeed my life in his hands, and have yet to regret that decision. He is also the cardiologist of a close friend. My friend has had a number of issues all of which Dr. Oh has handled quickly and efficiently. He is very approachable and knowledgeable.

Dr. Oh is efficient, professional and very knowledgeable. What more can you ask of this no-nonsense doctor. He is willing to take the time to completely explain one's situation. I believe him totally. I wish he'd write a good book--it would sure help.

I know other patients recommend Dr. Oh, so I'm reluctant to give him a poor review when perhaps I just caught him on a bad day. When I told him I understood his explanation of my heart issue, he said, "No, you don't." Ouch. Doctors need to learn that when they are so abrupt, it makes a patient reluctant to ask questions. I ended up switching to another cardiologist, who seemed truly interested in answering all of my questions, ordered tests Dr. Oh did not, and uncovered another heart issue.
