Dr. Christopher Reed, MD

I have seen Dr. Reed on 2 occasions, both times receiving fluoroscope guided steroid injections. The outcomes of both were wildly successful. He is very personable, explains clearly what the procedure will entail. For anyone out there in need of a steroid injection in a particular joint, please make an appointment with Dr Reed. Im 79, have had several steroid injections over many years in both knees, one hip and both shoulders resulting in only slight and short term relief from pain. I’m sorry I had never known of this procedure until 3 years ago. Trust me, it’s truly a game changer and I can’t recommend Imaging Associates and Dr Reed enough.

On January 24, 2023, I was brought to Providence Alaska Medical Center via ambulance after a crush injury. I was trapped under a vehicle for over an hour. I was 47 and approx 120#s. Dr. Reed reviewed my CT-Scans and found 1 spinal process and 1 rib fracture. As a result, other physicians dismissed my pain level, ignored swelling and bruising. None would order a re-read despite both my and medical doctor's request. I was discharged in less than 48 hours.On February 3rd, I went to AK Regional Hospital. The ER Doctor refused to order additional imaging, because Providence would have found fractures. New imaging was performed beginning February 20th. My injuries included 4 pelvic and sacral fractures, some minimally displaced, 3 spinal process fractures, and fractures on my 9th & 10th rib. Multiple non-PAMC providers were able to see the fractures on the 1/23/2023 scans. This man should not be practicing.
