Divisive
When meeting me the first time before a colonoscopy ordered by his colleague; Dr Truss minimized the importance of the test. When I asked him about this comment; he cited an incomplete review of my medical history. While I was still talking, he handed me an electronic pad & told me to sign the consent form. After I awakened from the procedure, Dr Truss told me the results were completely normal. He questioned me about the basis for my diagnosis. I told him about prior histology of tissue samples that confirmed the diagnosis. He reiterated that there was no sign at all that I had ever had the diagnosis for which his colleague had been treating me. The colonoscopy did not target the small intestinal ulcerations (even the ileum was not visible during the procedure. Most disturbing was that a physician would give unsolicited commentary and opinion that generated confusion between a patient and their physician (who was his colleague). Follow-up confirmed the doubt was unwarranted.

Disaster from the start. Mother went for routine colonoscopy. Was at emergency room two days later due to excessive bleeding. Admitted for 5 days and underwent a blood transfusion due to amount of blood loss. Never saw or heard from Dr. Truss. Couldn't get his office to return calls. Once released, never received call on biopsy taken for polyps removed during colonoscopy. (cancerous cells were present). 6 months later, mother received call to scheduled second colonoscopy because as Dr. Truss stated "He wanted to be sure he got it all". No further explanation given. Called one day before procedure and asked my mother why she scheduled another colonoscopy? My mother replied "You called me and scheduled it". He then said "Oh yeah and he would see her tomorrow". This is the most disturbing encounter I have ever has with a doctor. Is he capable of doing this procedure? Is he incompetent? I don't want my mother to end up a victim of his a second time.
