Christmas miracle
our family took a vacation to Cooks forest while there we experienced a medical emergency and were taken to the hospital. They called in Dr Karalis on Christmas day to perform a colonoscopy for extensive bleeding on my husband. Not knowing anyone we put our trust in Dr. Karalis. He performed a miracle I believe with God's help. What an amazing doctor, you are blessed to have him at your facility. We are eternally grateful.

Prior to my procedures (upper GI scope & colonoscopy), I had a couple of visits with Dr Karalis. He had great bedside manners. I found him thorough, professional, kind & compassionate. All this gave complete confidence in his ability. The procedures went well & I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend him to anyone. I have nothing but praise for Dr Karalis.

At 61 years old, I’d never had a colonoscopy. I had put it off in knowing that it would be an uncomfortable and maybe embarrassing situation. I feel blessed to have had Dr. Karalis as my Physician. I found him to be considerate and very personable. He made me feel very comfortable and had great bedside manner. I was impressed to hear his coworkers comment on his like-ability and professionalism. It’s unusual to hear such praise when you hadn’t asked. It was as if they were genuinely happy and proud to be working with him. I could not be happier with my service and experience with Dr. Karalis.

I have never written a review before but I was very impressed with Dr. Karalis. He was exceptional at taking care of my 85 year old father who was diagnosed with bowel cancer. He was recommended by another gastroenterologist because of his expertise in performing a diagnostic test which would let us know the best treatment option for his type of cancer. We were so happy to have his expertise in Dubois so we did not have to travel elsewhere because it was difficult for my father to travel. Dr. Karalis was not only knowledgeable and professional but he was one of the most caring and compassionate doctors I have ever met. I will be forever grateful to Dr. Karalis for giving my father hope and dignity after a terrifying diagnosis.

Our experience with Dr. Karalis was the opposite of the review left by the person from St. Marys. Dr. Karalis was clear, informative, cooperative, and extremely helpful as well as punctual and efficient, which indicates his support staff are also competent. Physicians are not game show hosts: Karalis behaved with appropriate decorum.

I wouldn’t even give one star but have to just to leave a review. Terrible terrible doctor. Wouldn’t recommend to take my pet rock to him. Very rude. Arrogant. Awful bedside manner. If you want to be treated like dirt this is your doctor. Instead of being compassionate to an anxious patient he belittles you. No personality whatsoever. Highly disgusted by his attitude.
