Dr. Chuan Miao, MD

Wonderful Dr. I was on critical list for liver failure he saved me he is one of a kind. We need more like him

I highly recommend Dr. Chuan Miao as an exceptional GI doctor. He has a wealth of knowledge and generously shares it with his patients. Dr. Miao takes the time to answer all of my questions thoroughly and ensures I feel comfortable with his explanations. The staff at his office, including the receptionist, medical assistant, and scheduler, treat me with kindness and respect from the moment I arrive. As a patient, I feel well cared for both physically and emotionally.

Saw him in the hospital. He performed an esophigeal exam on me and was very effective and pleasant.

Had to have a colonoscopy and endoscopy done and it wasnt as bad as I thought it was gonna be. Dr Miao explained everything very well.

I felt like I was in the office face to face with Doctor Miao. He asked the questions i gave my answers. I asked questions and Dr Miao answered them all. Saved me a trip all the way to Lewis Gale and back. If only the Gastro procedure could be handled this way!

I would recommend Dr. Miao to be your gastroenterologist . Dr. Miao is very compressive in his evaluation of my problems and has proven this thru positive improvements due to his diagnosis. Dr. Miao provides information from your first visit to the present such as blood tests or MRI's etc. that keeps you current of how his treatments are working for you. The staff is very courteous and puts you at ease at the office or by phone. My appointment times are met with the expected time frame that I can depend on.

My husband and I had a great experience with Dr. Miao. He is kind and compassionate and listens to you. We were referred by another doctor who said he would send his family to him; I can see why. Time was of the essence, since my husband needed a feeding tube. Cancer had taken away his appetite and he was malnourished. Dr. Miao squeezed him in for a consult and for his procedure. We are very grateful for his expertise, kindness and compassion and would recommend him highly.

So refreshing to find a Doctor who actually listens! Professional, courteous, and respectful! I felt like I was his only patient the day I saw him - meaning that he took time in listening and taking notes and making a testing/treatment plan! I've already recommended him to others!

Dr. Miao is an excellent doctor, and the NP Kim is wonderful! Both of them are very kind. They always listen to you, and answer your questions. They take the time to listen to you. I appreciate that. However, his nurse is really rude. Whenever you have to call with a question, she is very rude. She acts like it's such a hassle for her to talk to you. Isn't that her job to answer a patient's question? I would highly recommend Dr. Miao and the NP Kim. They are true professionals.

Did not appreciate doctor telling me me to get tested for HV (?) cause I could have virus. No way!!!! I will not take the test!!

Dr. Miao was thoroughly professional. After performing a colonoscopy, he was clear and concise in describing my current condition and in letting me know what I needed to do in the future.

In my experience with Dr. Miao as my gastroenterologist, I have been extremely pleased. He listens with genuine interest and is attentive to my comments. He has followed up on urgent and non urgent matters. He has carefully explained his recommendations. I think very highly of him and I have recommended him to several people.

He listens to your comments, n concerns before giving you a choice. A choice in how to approach what is happening and to correct it. I found him to be easy n fun to talk too, since we are both from the North. Responses to portal questions were quick n understandable. If he ever leaves I will follow him. It's hard to find a doctor you can connect with, and he is that doctor for me.
