The first time I actually needed treatment: FAILED
I have seen Dr. Alprin for years for annual physicals and routine health issues. I have been experiencing intense pain for a week now. I saw Dr. Alprin on Monday. He ordered a few tests, which I went to have completed. I called back today as I’ve been in pain for a week. His nurse said everything was normal and just continue with healthy diet and exercise. That has quite literally NOTHING to do with this issue I saw him about. It was just standard issue said to everyone sort of advice. I am in excruciating pain. I asked her to please speak with him and call me back with next steps. And it’s now 5PM on a Friday. They are closed. I received no call back. So he’s a great doctor as long as you aren’t sick.

The BEST OF THEE BEST ? – Jan 20, 2021
×Post a ResponseAre you Dr. Alprin?
disappointed as I had to go to the ER due to bleeding and severe stomach pains, never addressed my stomach issues as my appointment with Alprin got canceled! got another appointment to see Ms. Churchill which she didn’t address the stomach problem, nor checked my ears as I asked. She did diagnose another problem I was having, still no idea about my problem that sent me to the ER, feeling very neglected as my stomach issues still hurt and is making me sick! Made another appointment 3-rd one but can’t get in till after Xmas hoping to see Dr. Alprin usually he gives me excellent care!!! My stomach issues aren’t normal and need to be addressed. By the time I see my Doctor it will be over a month since ER visit with no answers to my stomach pain. I am only writing this in hopes my Doctor sees this. I really like Dr. Alprin but having doubts why no one has done anything about my stomach issues.

Dr. Alprin is nice enough. However, he rushes through your appointment and I never got the sense that he was actually invested in comprehensive health. Rather, he will take note of any symptoms, prescribe a medicine and send you on your way. There was never any real, valuable discussion that you'd expect from a primary care physician. The last straw was dealing with his rude medical assistant. I called to follow up on a health condition for which Dr. Alprin's office sent to the ER the week before (ER said it didn't constitute an emergency, but that's a whole other story). The med assistant made me feel like I was annoying for inquiring about my health and was borderline confrontational when I asked if Dr. Alprin could look into what caused my sudden abnormal health condition. I was told that if I had gotten better then there's nothing Dr. Alprin could do for me. No referral.. nothing. This lack of care led me to immediately change my pcp. I do not trust this practice with my health.

I have been seeing Dr Alprin for around 3 years. He shoots straight and listens. He recently took care of a complicated (to me) medical issue I had and gave me treatment immediately with what he thought my issue was before lab results were available. Very smart doctor and I trust him with my care. My parents liked him so much they named me after him

I had a very good experience with Dr. Alprin. The system in this office is very well coordinated. You get in, diagnosed and out pretty rapidly. It is safe to say that not a singe person in this office will win" Mr. or Miss Congeniality" But are you looking to make friends or get decent healthcare. It's fast accurate and in and out.

I will never go back see this Doctor. The first question he ask is 'are you on diet?' where he should ask himself first. The staff were unfriendly. There's is no call or explanations with the results of blood test.

Dr Alprin himself is great, but his office staff and prescription coordinator have given me the worst experience ever. They do not return calls and if you continue to call till they return your call they make you feel stupid. Would not recommend to my worst enemy.

Dr. Alprin was my father's PCP, but no longer. Dr. Alprin has no bedside manner. He treats his patients like a number and not a living breathing human being. We found a wonderful doctor who actually cares about him and spends time with him. Just because my father is elderly, doesn't mean he's lost his usefulness. I pray Dr. Alprin snaps out of it and finds Jesus.

Lazy staff. Makes diagnosis then when insurance requests to speak with him before approving all of a sudden staff says you might need to see a specialist after paying him to treat. Stay away

Dr. Alprin is great! My husband & I both have seen him for 2 years, the difference between him & our last doctor is night & day. Dr. Alprin listens & diagnosis efficiently. If I have questions he takes the time to explain things thoroughly. I don't know why that other person's review says otherwise. I also love that we are going to a larger practice as the staff is always on the ball and if we need an urgent appt we get in right away. The physicians assistant returns calls sometimes within hours!

As for Doctor Alprin himself, he takes the time to explain my issues and for the most part I am very happy with the healthcare he provides. One issue I do have is with the practice itself, trying to be able to talk with the doctors on follow ups takes forever and if you are in major pain that is an issue. The answer from them is if it really hurts go to the hospital otherwise go through the slow process.
