Dr. Colette Dominique, MD

With increasing mortality rates among pregnant African American women, I specifically sought out a doctor who would make me feel seen and heard. Unfortunately, she was the opposite. She was abrasive, dismissive, and condescending. She is elitist; she will determine quality of care based on who your insurance provider is, and she disregards & refuses to acknowledge or believe claims of pain. I've learned from personal experience that it is often sadly ineffective for Black women to seek out Black obstetricians to increase their odds of quality maternal care and survival during pregnancy. Those same Black Doctors are indoctrinated by white institutions to be just as classist, racist, & apathetic as white medical personnel. She’s a miserable woman and ended up not delivering my baby at all. That was for the best.

I love Dr. Dominique, She is a great doctor. I have not seen her in a while. Does anyone know where is her new office at? I have been trying to locate her new office and could not find it.

Since the day I first walked in her office, Dominique was amazing. Her knowledge of her field is undeniable. She continues to train and take the necessary classes to keep her a leader in her field. I just recently found out she relocated and guess who will be flying from Cali to her new office...me. I will go wherever she is. That is how much I value her as my Doctor.

Worst doctor ever! She is rude, unprofessional, never keeps time, was talking about another patient’s records.

I visit her and deliver my last baby with her when she was in Irving, Texas. She had mood problems, was rude, had no communication and was so mean. Made me have the worst experience, I am glad she is no longer in that clinic. I had a c- section the way she pulled my baby out was ridiculously ugly! I had a huge bump on my left side of the incision, she immediately order a sonogram thinking she probably left an instrument inside me. The way I was treated wasn’t right, she added more to the situation I was in that time. I always wonder how would she be working with pregnant women and with a horrible attitude!

I have been coming to se Dr. Dominique for 15yrs, she has seen me for my pregnancies normal to more high risk. I have seen her for normal check ups and any concerns I have had, I have always felt that she was very clear in explaining diagnosis and keeping me informed of any changes or concerns. I haven’t stayed with her and her office because I am used to it and don’t want to change but because I always felt taken care of, from the moment I made my appointments to leaving her office.

Save yourself the trouble. She lacks compassion and empathy. She spends ruffly 5 mins during a visit with you. Her assistant is extremely hard to reach and they take a while to get in touch with you.

I wouldn't recommend her to anyone! She is not timely and understanding. I waited for over an hour for a procedure. She found several excuses not to see. She is very mean and unkind.

She was very unprofessional towards me. She made inappropriate comments about my body and remarked that I was shy talking about my care down there due to my Asian culture. What??? The exam was highly traumatic for me and her uncaring attitude and comments about my culture certainly did not help my already vulnerable state. Her assistant ruby is very sweet, but I’d never see Dr. Dominique again.

She's only in the room for maybe 15 mins and that was the worst 15 mins that I wasted with this doctor who simply did not have a care in the world about my concerns. I've never been to a doctor that had insulted my intelligence, the last time I checked a patient's pain level is what they feel not what the provider feel you should feel. and to be told if you felt that bad like you claimed you did you would have gone to the emergency, she did not listen to anything I had said. I visited Dr. Dominique as a referrel and I will not be going back. First, it does take over 2 hours to see the doctor and once you see her get ready for a rude, crude and dismissive professional. The office staff is just as unprofessional and unhelpful. I should have know there was going to be an issue when I couldn't locate the office right away. The walls are paper thin so when she is discussing your condition it feels as if your business is being discussed with avid audience.

Dr. Dominique has been great. She has found the reason for conditions I had been suffering from for years that my prior doctor just shrugged off. She is direct, explains everything extremely well, and listens.

Dr. Colette Dominique is informative and always reliable. Never a long wait time for her service and her staff is fantastic.

Amazing Doctor, first time mommy. Dr. Dominique is very helpful and answers all my questions and concerns. Didn't know what I was looking for in a Dr. and she's definitely it!!! I feel really comfortable with her. Gives me great advise on anything I'm concerned about and haven't doubted her yet. She explains everything to me to a understanding point about what to do or whats going on. Best Dr. I HIGHLY recommend her!

I wouldn't see Dr Dominique again if she were the last doctor on earth. She was rude and dismissive and obviously didn't care about my pain or issues. I've never been treated so poorly by a doctor in my entire life. She actually said because I'm Caucasian that my fibroids are nothing to worry about and had no immediate solution on how to handle the pain. Seeing her was an awful, awful experience.

This doctor is very unproffesional she is always late. Keeps us waiting for more than 2 hours even when my wife is 38 weeks pregnant. Please do nit

I have been going to Dr. Dominique for about 7 years now and I couldn't imagine anyone else delivering my first child!! When I found out that I was pregnant (5 months ago) I knew right away that I would be in good hands. Dominique is probably the most realist Dr I have been too. She will tell you how it is and will not sugar coat anything. She takes the time to go over your results and any questions you may have and always puts your mind at ease when you assume the worst. I am totally satisfied!

After deciding to pick Dr. Dominique was my best choice! I love seeing her she is honest and informative. She is compassionate and knowledgeable. Every time I have an appointment she asks if I have any questions or concerns and she takes her time giving me answers that best fits me.

Dr. Dominique and the staff at MacArthur Obgyn are wonderful! I always feel at ease and there is never a wait time to see my doctor!

I came for an issue that I've been to the ER twice for. She completely sidestepped the issue, mostly because of my age, which is irrelevant because I have an endocrinological disorder. She spent most of the time trying to push birth control as a lone treatment for my PCOS, this alone does not treat PCOS! My hormone levels are balanced thanks to my other Dr treating me. She lied about why I should take it, thankfully I know my disorder well. And I'm still in pain, waste of time and money.
