Dr. Colin Christensen, DO

Dr. Collin Christiansen is an amazing doctor. He spend as much time as I need to understand all we went over in our visit. It is very hard to find a Doctor Who has time or is willing to spend the time to make you feel comfortable and answer all your questions. Dr. Christensen is very knowledgeable and kind. To me that’s what makes him such a special doctor is that he will spend the time To listen to you because you matter and make sure you understand what he is subscribing for your visit. I have been with Dr. Collins for three years and very thankful that I found him he’s definitely a great doctor that cares for his patients.

This Dr never listens and when he does he thinks he has the answers and gives you a med that doesn’t work, he never test for anything basically wastes my time,,, Last time in I had an appointment in my calendar for 1030 I got there at 10:35 and they told me I had to make another appointment to see the doctor,, that was it no more,,this clinic is a joke dealing with a Dr that has all the answers in his head but absolutely no testing remedies to solve them… Don’t waste your time with this guy

My mother sees Dr Christensen and absolutely loves him (I’m leaving her review as she doesn’t “do” computers). He always listens to her questions and answers clearly and in layman’s term so as to be easily understood. He assists her with making appointments, gives her assistance with, and tips for, keeping her medications straight, explains her lab test results thoroughly and really takes his time with her which, for an elderly patient, is particularly important. His care and concern for his patients is obvious.

Good listening to my issues. Encourages patients to be involved with treatment.

My mom chose Dr. Christesen for us after searching and experiencing several doctors for years prior to March 2016. She had made an excellent decision as my brother and I have all good things to say about him. We have been under his care since we were teens. He always provides good cares and listens to our concerns. He spent time to actually check up on us in each visit. He listens to our concerns and makes sure we understand our choices/ conditions. What we all like about him is his instruction before you leave his clinic. We always know what to do or watch out after the visits because Dr. Christensen thoroughly educates us of how to care for our conditions at home. There is no doubt about his great knowledge, yet his communication is so clear and easy for folks with no medical background to understand. We are very happy to have him as our PCP.

Dr. Christensen has been my family members’ PCP since 2016. We always receive great care with explanations. He always does good job in providing care as a doctor . Each visit, he pays close attention to our concerns and always explain clearly about the conditions. I have never regretted to choose Dr. Christensen as our PCP.

Looking at some of these reviews that said bad things about Dr.Christensen, was just uncalled for he is truly an amazing person and physician I wouldn’t trade him for anything. I moved to. Vegas last year and yes I go back to Riverside to see him he’s the only doctor that takes time to listen to your concerns but if you try and tell him his job then yes you will have a problem with him he’s very understanding and passionate about his about his patients I would definitely recommend him to anyone as I have. Love him wouldn’t trade him for anything

Knowledgeable and unlike many doctors easy to talk to. I especially liked that he was interested in my family history.

I did not have a good experience with Altais or Dr Christensen. First of all, when you call you have to wait a very long time for them to answer. I am always on hold with them for about a half an hour. Dr Christensen is pretty stoic and not friendly. Bedside manner is not so great. The biggest problem is that he will not refill my medications with Express scripts, and I have asked him several times to do that. He will give me one refill of one of my meds and then tell me to wait until I am out to order again. I do not like this control over my medications, and for that reason, amongst others, I am leaving this practice. I would not recommend Altais or Dr Christensen at all.

We are a family of five with three small kids we all see Dr. Christensen and are happy with his care.

Dr. Christensen has exceeded my expectations from the first visit. This is a physician who truly cares about patients, going the extra mile to make sure that there is understanding, kindness, and compassion alongside excellent medical care. What a gem we have right here in Riverside.

He went over with me my family history. For the first time I never had a doctor to go over my family history we me. I just normally filled it out on the sheet and no questions ask but Dr. Christensen ask me these important questions about my family history and my history also . So by the time I left his office visit with Dr. Christensen he had taken very good care of me and l left with a very clear understanding of my healthcare visit. Yes I would recommend Dr.Christensen

Best primary care physician I have ever had and I'm 55.

We waited less than 5 minutes to see Dr. Christensen. He was friendly, thorough and took his time with us.

We started seeing Dr Christensen at Riverside Medical 5 years ago. We found him throrough, concerned, honest and accessible. He suggests ways to deal with issues like weight or labs through lifestyle changes where possible before resorting to medications. We were not always successful, but appeciated his frankness and his professionalism. He is concerned about wellness, follows up quickly on email/messaging. We missed him when he left RIverside Medical, but have since found him again at Altais in Riverside and feel confident again in our medical care. He doesn't rush us, answers all our questions and generally provides the concerned care you would want with a doctor. The staff at Altais is also very friendly and efficient which is an added bonus.

Dr. Christenson has been my primary Dr. and has always been a complete pro and understanding. I would definitely recommend him as a Dr.

The front desk, lab, and nurses were and are always welcoming, professional and proficient. The office and lab are clean and organized. Dr. Christensen listens to concerns and tends to them. However, Dr. Christensen could work on his bedside manner. Some patients have nervousness and fear when in a medical setting, and asking questions may be triggered by stress. Some patients ask rhetorical questions to help process aftercare instructions. Though Dr. Christensen responds to some questions that he may find simple-minded or unnecessary by responding with demeaning and patronizing replies making you feel dumb.

Absolutely horrible! Not sure why they won’t let you leave a 0 star review . As I sit waiting for the HR department to call me back I feel I should share a little . Bedside manner is horrible. He does not listen to your thoughts about your own health or body . Questioned me extensively while looking down his nose at me for taking pain medication . Pop quiz Doc I’ve had to surgeries BOTH of which involved placing metal in my neck and shoulder because of herniated discs and osteoporosis. Yes I often have to take meds due to PAIN. I’m not some pill chaser and he tried to make me feel as such (I was not even there for pain medication). He NEVER just stopped and listened to me regarding my concerns for my health and rushed me out of his office life there was a fire .SEE NEXT REVIEW !!!

I only went here because it was close to my house. When I first went to see him and tell him my issues, he makes you feel like an idiot. He is condescending in every way and no matter what you say, he tells you that you are wrong. I lost about 65 pounds since my last visit and when I told him, barely got an acknowledgment from him. I had to self diagnose myself with gout because he was too stubborn to admit he missed it. i had to get an acid test to prove it and he still will not say I have gout. I tell him I am taking vitamins that his opinion don't work yet there are 40K reviews stating it does. Except the point is that they do work. So, if you want to be told you are stupid and don't know what you are doing, you want to be ridiculed every time you open your mouth, he is your doctor. I will never go back to him again. I only went because when I tried to switch, they told me it would be 6 months to get a new doctor. Trust me, its worth the wait.
