Dr. Swales entered the examination room completely perplexed stating why are you here? He seemed confused and clearly had not any idea why we made the appointment. WE were there because my wife had a cyst on her pancreas; and the appropriate paper work had been submitted weeks in advance! His attitude was dismissive and unfriendly. He was curt and unprepared. The exam consisted of him saying to my wife open your mouth! That was it He explained that the cyst on the pancreas was probably not cancerous and that wait a year and have an MRI. His demeanor was condescending and completely void of any real sympathy or visible empathy towards my wife's recent emergency appendectomy. Patent bedside manner 101 should be revisited! Suffice is to say we were profoundly disappointed. In the future we will seek medical advice elsewhere.

I am shocked to read the two negative reviews as my husband has been seeing Dr. Swales for over 3 years and he has been so kind and informative every visit. He is on top of every test he orders and always provides detail and information we can understand. Please, don't believe those 2 negative reviews, Dr. Wales is a smart wonderful, caring doctor.

Dr Swales is a smart doctor, but his attitude toward patients and his support staff makes getting decent treatment difficult. He is arrogant, does not explain things or answer reasonable questions. When he can't figure out the cause of something or your case is too simple for his ego, he passes you off to another doctor in the practice. His staff doesn't process pre-authorization for tests as required by most insurances, so you may get stuck paying out of pocket for expensive tests.

He doesn't care for his patients. When he looks at you, he just sees dollar signs. He cancels appointments but never reflects it in the system so you get the label "no-show" and are threatened with "discharge from his practice". I've gone there multiple times and was told I didn't have an appointment that day. ???? I have excellent insurance. He never once sent the paperwork into disability, tho all my other Drs. did. Stay away from this one!

Dr. Swales is by far the best doctor I have ever had the pleasure to meet and I am beyond thankful he is my husbands doctor. His bedside manner is unlike anything I've seen. For a Dr. who is probably slammed with patients he makes you feel like you are his only one. I am just blessed to have such a kind man care for us.
