Always helpful
Dr Canoutas is always kind and explains things thoroughly. Addressed my heel and foot pain and had me walking without pain again in a short amount of time. Always listens and takes time with each appointment. Office staff are pleasant and approachable. Never waited long in the office or for an appointment.

Excellent Doctor
Dr. Canoutas operated on my wife's foot that had been giving her trouble for a long time. She had been to two other specialists and and was not confident in the ability of either Doctor. One suggested a complex surgery that would have required a long recovery. Dr. Canoutas explained, very professionally, why that extensive surgery was not needed and in its place he could do a simple surgery that would fix the problem. The other doctor had completely misdiagnosed the situation. Dr. Canoutas was always very professional and spent a good amount of time explaining to both of us what the problem was (using X-rays of the bones) as well as what the surgery would be like and what to expect as far as recovery was concerned. On the day of the surgery he was very personable and again spent quite a generous amount of time with me as my wife was in recovery. Recovery has gone well and it has taken only 2 weeks for her to be about 90% back to normal. We are both impressed!

Dismissed without interest
Presented with obviously malformed ankle due to prior injury, likely the cause of radiating pain in associated leg. Podiatrist acted as if I was taking up his time and dismissed my concern without even evaluating my condition. Showed him where I was walking on outside of my shoe (worn down more than inside) - no difference. He seemed to have little interest other than to get me out of his office. He scheduled a 2-month follow-up, which I promptly cancelled (he did nothing - what is there to follow-up???).
