Great doctor
Dr. Z performed back surgery on me. I had pain and numbness mostly on my right leg and feet. Right after surgery I was able to walk with no numbness and pain . Great doctor and bedside manner. Highly recommend her.

Dr. Zygourakis who treated me for spine deteriorated from a staph infection. Transferred from my local hospital which was fours away to be treated by her and all the caring staff changed my life after getting sick from this infection. Dr. Z was the kindest and showed the utmost professionalism to me. She was a calming voice in a rough sea to me. She helped with her skill to come out of this life crisis. I will always remember her for her care and staff!

Dr. ‘Z’ as she’s known performed a spinal decompression (laminectomy) a week ago to relieve spinal stenosis and resultant leg, hip and back pain. I’m now walking upright with no pain meds needed. Friends saying ‘miracle.’ Dr. Z is an accomplished surgeon & great communicator. She listens and involves the patient in decisions. I’m not an easy grader but 5 stars a no-brainer. Thank you Dr. Z!

super awesome Dr and Surgeon. I trust her completely. She is thoughtful and caring and smart and goes over everything so you can understand. I fully recommend her and Stanford. I was always 100 percent comfortable she would get the job done perfectly. If you have a bad back or bad neck, do yourself a favor and go see her

Why is this site not showing the five negative reviews? She was one hour late, took less than 10 minute examination and rushed through it. Would cut off my talking with a quick ok... and did not seem to have time to answer my questions. Left feeling like I was wasting her time. My mri showed showed several pinched nerves and I was in considerable pain. I have used Stanford for many years and this was the first visit that I felt rushed, and not fully examined.

I highly recommend Dr. Zygourakis. She is a great person and an amazing neurosurgeon who explained in simple terms what she was going to do before operating on my spine. Dr. Z gave me back a pain-free life. She also has excellent bedside manners. I couldn't be happier with Dr. Z and her Hopkins team..

Dr Z was my neurosurgeon at San Francisco General Hospital. I had a complicated case that required multiple surgeries. She was the only one who took the time to sit down with me, listen and explain things to me. Trust me. This is unique for a neurosurgeon as I saw far too many during my stay in the hospital.

Dr. Zygourakis took care of me at the San Francisco VA hospital and did an excellent job with my spine surgery. I had a significant improvement in my pain control and leg weakness, which had not happened with prior surgeries. She was also extremely personable, taking the time to see me multiple times after surgery.
