Never saw his face, could've died
I had him during one of my visits and never even saw his face. I was on the table for the injection and he came in, gave some instructions, and was gone. I was told to sit for 5 minutes after the injection and to report any dizziness if I had any. I did feel dizzy and reported to the front desk who looked like they had no idea what to do. They put me in a patient room that looked like it was for storage and I sat there for 45 minutes without anyone checking on me. I came out of the room to ask what I was waiting for and received another shocked look from the front desk. I'm glad I wasn't actually have a reaction to the medication or I would've died in that empty room. This place is a pain med mill. I never felt like anyone was actually listening to the problems I had and I was never seen for more than 5 minutes. In and out to maximize profit.

Do NOT recommend if you have CRPS
Dr.S does NOT listen to his patients and sets the amount of pain meds at whatever HE feels is best, with no regard to the fact that each person, and their pain levels, are individual. Dr S decided that “the best” treatment for me was to get a pain pump even though I expressed multiple times that I did NOT want anything surgically placed in my back. He gave me a drug test one month, and then the previous month was on the verge of “discharging” me because there was no Morphine in my system. I then had to remind him that HE advised me to stop taking it because it was constipating me. After reminding him of this, I didn’t get discharged, but my account was “flagged in the system” and there was “nothing” he could do about it. I felt like he didn’t actually want to treat me, which he pretty much admitted to, because there “was no real explanation for my pain.” Clearly he is not well versed in CRPS. He dismissed me from the practice because he didn’t feel like there was “anymore more to be

My neurologist highly recommended Dr. Soteropoulos but I wasn't able to see him. His staff were adversarial, unaccommodating, rude and hostile from the moment I walked through the door. Having a staff this badly behaved indicates a problem that needs sorting out.

Could not get an appointment in less than two months, so I asked to be put on the wait list. HAH!! Called two weeks later to see where on wait list I was at - I WASN'T!! The LAZY slob never even made the original appointment, let alone added me to the wait list. And I found that out AFTER another (or maybe it was the same one) LAZY slob HUNG UP ON ME after I barely said hello! I just heard her say call back later before she hung up. Called right back, got a gentleman on the phone who (Crossing my fingers now) I hope actually set up an appointment and put me on the waitlist. I wish I had more choices here in Fredericksburg for my pain management. Unfortunately, Tricare options are very limited. Also wish I could give negative stars.

For 3 months his staff/Ofc mgr. have been telling me Fredericksburg office can handle my pain pump maintenance. They set appointments, cancel appointments, many phone calls in between them, myself, and insurance. Even today they schedule an appointment for tomorrow for pain pump management in Fredericksburg again which they do not offer this service at all. I was told to go to HenricoOffice just a day ago. I was told to go to Baltimore. Now today reminding me of my appointment in Fredericksburg tomorrow for the pain pump maintenance, I am told to go to the Reston office. Three whole months wasted on imbeciles that have no idea What and what not their practice offers and where. Absolutely wasted 3 months of coordinating referrals, setting appts., etc. what a joke. I wouldn’t step foot in that practice at all. Their staff can’t even get the most basic thing done Such as setting an appointment and knowing what you’re doing in your job. If I could put a -10 stars I would.

I am at my wits end with their performance to date. As a Veteran and military Retiree, I suffer from chronic neck pain, and see them every month for therapy, treatments, and pain medication (Oxycodone hcl tabs 10mg). While the treatments have helped a little, the office staff makes any benefit useless. They are rude, impersonal, and cant tell you anything. The wait time is horrendous, but if you are late, they cancel you. All they are interested in is money and getting you out the door

I have been going to Dr. S for over 4yrs for facet arthritis and DDD. I am the patient he has to tell to take pain meds. I hate them and I am all for his approach on how he manages when you get them. I have have steroid injections, trigger point injections, and every 6 months RFA. This is what we have found works for me. It has been trial and error but no 2 people are alike in treating pain, nor dealing with it. There is no cure for what I have. But I now have relief and some of my life back.

This Dr. is educated on how to not get everyone hooked on high dosage of narcotics. When you go to the Dr. and take his advise and try not to take loads of opioids, you will do better. Some people think that 10-15 pills a day and stay inside house is acceptable. I like the staff and Dr S and the P A’s and they talk to me thoroughly. They are not there to write out bottle after bottle though. You will be offered injections to try to help, and you should try.

Giving only 1 star is a real compliment! His PA's take the time to explain stuff, but he is totally useless, less than 5 minutes the few times I've see him. He sets the amount of pain meds ridiculously low, with no respect that each patient's needs, tolerance, pain level, metabolism, etc. is different, and so you cannot set an arbitrary amount. He dismissed me because I finished my meds 2 days early (which was not enough to start with) after a surprised urine test. AVOID HIM AT ALL COST!!!!

He is only concerned with booking multiple procedures for the $$ at the expense of his patients health. Uses strong arm tactics of withholding meds if you refuse these dangerous procedures. RUN

If I could give this doctor no stars I would. The staff is a little to be desired. Called to make appointment due to extreme pain and would not make appointment, they advised me that I had a appointment scheduled in two months and would see me then. Only spent 5 minutes with doctor and PA did all dignososes and medication treatment. Would not recommend if you have CRPS / RSD.

My experience with Dr. S is little as you rarely see him it's usually one of the PA's. Not quite sure why that is. The time I saw him last he convinced me to have another shot in my knee even though I told him it has not been bothering me. That night my knee hurt worse than it ever had. He is always in a hurry so you don't get the opportunity to ask questions. No worries cause I am taking my business elsewhere. This office is full of rude staff and providers who really don't care.
