Dr. Courtney Brooks, MD

Dr. Brooks was cold almost to the point of rudeness. I made an appointment specifically to discuss preparing for conception and she was terse and gave yes or no answers. She became much friendlier when a nurse came in.

went in for my first annual visit with pap smear and breast exam. super nervous but dr. brooks talked me through everything and i felt so safe and comfortable. she was incredibly sweet, as were the nurses.

Dr Brooks was friendly and knowledgeable, answering all my questions and putting me at ease. Whether she remembered or simply took the time to review my file, I appreciated her following up with me on my personal experiences and plans for expanding my family. I feel well supported!

Thank God she didn't deliver my baby. What a miserable doctor. Everyone else was so nice, but she is incredibly rude. Y'all need to end the affiliation with her and your practice.

The previous reviews about horrible beside manner are understatements. I have had symptoms for months, and she has treated me like I am making them up. I'm sorry but who actually wants to see a doctor that much? She is overall condescending and incredibly rude. She attempted to treat me for anxiety rather than treating me for the problem that has caused this anxiety in the first place. She has made me feel horrible about myself overall which coming from a MD is not something I would wish on my worst enemy. I am incredibly scared for any patient of hers. I will be searching for a new doctor soon.

Dr Brooks was no longer under my insurance coverage plan so I’ve now had to pay out of pocket just to see her! She’s the best! Always listens and takes time with me. The only gyn I’ve felt comfortable with.

She acts like she doesnt want to be bothered .I onlysaw her once and am terrified of her as a care giver.

Dr. Brooks has the worst bedside manner of any doctor I’ve ever seen. Continually disappointed in her care. Absolutely terrified she will be the one to deliver my baby. I’ve never been so dismissed and made to feel so dumb. Literally ROLLS HER EYES at me at every question. Has yet to ask about any of my birth plans or circumcision plans and I’m weeks away from delivery. Blames nearly every single pain or issue on my weight. Truly a terrible doctor, I wouldn’t recommend her to any one for any reason whatsoever. I’ve left every appointment with her in tears and feeling like such an idiot. I don’t expect pregnancy to be pain or problem free, but she makes me feel like a complete and total idiot every time. Rushes you through everything and doesn’t actually care about you or your child. I’ll be requesting to never see her again.

Horrible bedside manner. I would not recommend her . All of the other doctors in this practice have were wonderful during my second pregnancy. She’s rude and rushes through appointments. I’m terrified of her being on call when I go into labor with my 3rd baby.

Dr. Brooks is the worst Dr. I have seen at this practice. Everyone else has been so pleasant and thorough. It was clear she had an issue with my husband and I being an interracial couple. She would not listen to my symptoms and was more concerned with was I a work in appt or scheduled (I was scheduled). I have never been rushed so bad at an appt. No chance I will have her delivering my baby if she's the Dr. on call that day.

Dr. Brooks was so rude to me! I have never met a doctor that had such bad bedside manners! I felt like I was bothering her by telling her what was wrong with me. She acted like I was making my symptoms up and wanted to miss work. I make $250+ a night waitressing. Why would I want to miss that money? She thinks she is better than the patient and acted like I was so stupid! I switched doctors and I am sooooo glad I did! I am the paying customer and I deserve to be treated with dignity and respect!

Dr. Brooks is simply amazing. I was referred to her by a friend. I had to have a laparoscopic procedure done. She was on time, answered all my questions...never felt rushed. She was also very nurturing and patient during a time where I was really nervous and scared about the procedure and potential results. Her staff is awesome too!

Dr. Brooks did not want to listen to my symptoms. She wants you in and out and is quite condescending and disengenious. I would NOT recommend her.

This girl (I can't call her woman) is a joke. She's been with just about every hospital in Columbia, you name it. I don't see any professionalism on her. She is so frail ... you will never want to give birth with her. I have great doubts that she is a good professional. Bless her heart!

First time seeing her today and she was amazing! Very warm, efficient and thorough!

This is my second pregnancy with Dr. Brooks and I just love her. I followed her from her old practice to her current one. She takes the time to listen to me and answer my questions. She's very personable and knowledgeable. I would recommend her to any of my friends and family.

Dr Brooks is friendly, compassionate, and appropriately chill. Wait times are short for clinic visits with her. I've seen her several times during this pregnancy and definitely recommend her.

Brooks appears to just want patients in and out. I've never been a high maintenance patient and have never written negative (or any!) reviews about doctors or practices, but I have been so overwhelmed by the poor quality of interaction. On multiple occasions, she never explained health issues or complications I would face in any detail. I was left for figuring out side-effects after the fact. Unlike doctors I've had in the past, she only cares about you when your in the chair paying a bill.
