I was a patient at Northeast Georgia Medical Center admitted for DVT (deep vein thrombosis) and PE (Pulmonary Embolism). Aside from being admitted to a hospital in a somewhat serious condition, it was my lucky day to find such a talented young woman who was not only a highly trained physician trained in vascular surgery, she was a wonderful caring person. Sometimes we think of surgeons as wanting to do surgery, this was absolutely not the case. She and her team explored other avenues to avoid this more serious remedy. Apart from her clinical skills, she is a wonderful caring person who listens and offers her advice in an easy to understand fashion that leaves you with the feeling, “Well, this wasn’t such a bad day after all”! Blessing Dr. Courtney.
