I haven't been to a doctor for a while and found Dr. Gustafson and his staff very courteous, direct, and professional.

Love him and the office
I can’t recommend Dr Gustafson enough. He is an excellent clinician, thorough and listens. When my children need anything for school requirements, they are fast and hassle free. He diagnosed one of my children with a serious condition that required surgery. The staff was a BIG help in steering me through the complexities and insurance red tape of multiple referrals to specialists and surgeons. Great practice. How medicine should be.

double billing
This office has consistently tried to send us bills for services AFTER they've been paid in full by insurance. They tried to bill my insurance for a procedure for my wife that never happened. when I tried to talk to Nicole(billing) about it she got aggressive and then had the gall to tell me not to be aggressive with her back. Told me I should find another provider... Dr. G is a nice enough guy but with this sort of office operation, I suspect at this point that he is aware of it and in on it or he is oblivious and thus can't be trusted. I will never use them again and neither should you. there's a reason his rating is this low...

Not gonna pay you twice – May 10, 2022
×Post a ResponseAre you Dr. Gustafson?
Went in for a routine appointment. Dr. Gustafson entered the room and immediately asked my vax status. When he found out I had gotten vaxxed he ranted for 10 minutes about how bad it was that I got vaccinated. (Even if I believed his nonsense, what am I gonna do - get unvaccinated?) Showed no concern or interest in my actual reason for appointment. Then took a casual glance and prescribed something that didn’t work. (Changed doctors a few months later and issue was resolved in less than a week).

Anti-vaccine doctor. Neither he nor his staff are vaccinated. He cited misleading and scare-tactic information about COVID-19 vaccines. Dr. Gustafston tried aggressively to dissuade me from getting vaccinated. He promoted multiple unproven COVID-19 prevention methods, including drugs which have been shown to be harmful to people with certain conditions. Do not trust this man.

Anti-vaccine doctor. Neither he nor his staff are vaccinated against the COVID-19 virus. He actively deters patients from becoming vaccinated. Dr. Gustafson promotes unproven COVID-10 prevention methods that are popular among conspiracy theorists and social media websites. Avoid his practice.

Patient with Ph.D. in Molecular Microbiology – Jul 28, 2021

Any doctor who tells an elderly patient who is on oxygen that they “don’t need a mask” in a pandemic should have his license taken away, but that is exactly what he told my grandfather. I am completely appalled. This doctor also told an obese patient who is a smoker that if they got covid “it probably wouldn’t be that bad.” It’s almost as if he wants his patients to die of Covid. Makes you wonder how many already have. How sad to think that people place their faith in this man to give them sound medical advice. He clearly has some problems separating his political beliefs from his Hippocratic Oath. Shame.

Excellent medical care, compassionate doctor, NP and staff. I had been looking for a primary care doctor, and heard about Dr. G from a friend who raved about him. After having care at this office my impression is extremely favorable. The office staff is kind and capable. Staff returns calls promptly, answering questions. I felt comfortable from the moment I walked into the office. The Doctor and NP are friendly and thorough. I was so pleased to find such a warm, capable and pleasant office and staff. I will be referring others.

Made an appointment with Dr. Gustafson after moving to Havard, MA from California. I don't know if his demenor is always this way, but he seemed annoyed at even being there. He was very dismissive and actually quite rude. I won't make another appointment with him. His staff was also unfriendly. Overall an unpleasant experience.

We found Dr. Gustafsons office and staff to be professional and warm. He has worked with my husband to overcome a complex medical issue and will check up on how he is doing. We never feel rushed to get through our questions and he readily referred us to specialists when needed.

I have had only positive experiences with Dr. G and his staff have been professional and extremely helpful, especially when another doctor hasn’t been of any help with an ongoing condition. He has been my doctor, my husband’s and now my sons doctor. I can’t say enough positive experiences my family and I have had. Always there when you need help.

Well, he appears to have no interest in diagnosing a patient and he has a malpractice case from 2014. Enough said about him. Please find yourself another doctor.

Terrible! Just found out after reading on this site, that Dr. Gustafson has been sued for malpractice! It doesn't surprise me after my recent experience. Just wished I had check him out beforehand.

This review is based off my initial consultation with Dr. Gustafson and his team. I have personally been on the hunt for a more personable PCM with a focus on bedside manner and competency. In the past year I have had three PCM’s, which none fit the bill nor met the requirements I looked for in a PCM. I cannot say that is the case with Dr. Gustafson and his team. From entering and checking in, to the consultation itself, I couldn’t have felt more comfortable. I have faith this patient/doctor/medical team relationship will continue to meet my every expectation.

The staff is a joke! They were too busy discussing a concert they planned to attend to even acknowledge me. It seemed each of them decided to let the other take my name at check-in. When I finally saw the dr. , he was just as unprofessional; doesn't even make eye contact. Now I know why, since I see from this site that he has malpractice claims against him. I should have been able to guess that just from my first visit. I'm grateful to HealthGrades for posting dr. malpractice information.

Just got back from my first visit with Dr. Gustafson. It was so awful I immediately searched for what others experienced with him. I should have done this before my visit. Now I see that my experience is not unique. I will never go there again.

I just found this site after researching Dr. Gustafson AFTER my appointment. Big mistake! Why didn't I check him out online first?? This guy truly should not be practicing medicine! I had no idea he had malpractice claims lodged against him! I am so grateful this site has this information. Now I just have to remember to check here BEFORE going to a new doctor.
