Dr. Smith saved my life! I was a complex case and he exhausted all cutting edge options for me. Eight hours, 2 new valves, partial repair on another and partial replacement of my aorta and I’m here to be a mom to my 2 children. No one else could have done what he did!

I scheduled a minimally invasive mitral valve repair. Day if surgery he was going to cut me open. He didn't remember me or our conversation. He did minimal invasive procedure- I needed 2 unit transfusion, had partially collapsed lung and 2 months later my valvee was worse than when I went in. I had to have another surgeon do a proper repair and fix what was not done right Worst bedside manner - has a good complex

Had the pleasure for Dr Smith to perform OHS in 2013 with an incredible support staff at Columbia Presbyterian in NYC. The whole process was professional, comforting, smooth and flawless. I would highly recommend Dr Smith to all who want the best care and the most qualified. Thank you Dr Smith! DM

On Sept. 2, 2000, I had triple coronary bypass surgery, off pump, performed by Dr Smith. As I approach 15 1/2 years post surgery, I have had no post surgical or medical sequelae. My cardiac stress tests are absolutely normal. I take no cardiac medicines except for mild Antihypertensive agent and a statin to keep my cholesterol to below 150. I just shoveled 4 1/2 inches of snow, and walked my Golden Retriever today. lab tests indicate I am of the lowest chance to have heart disease
