Fabulous Doctor
I have been a patient of Dr Roever for the last 5 years and I can say that I she is by far the best primary care physician I have ever had. She really knows her medicine, she listens extremely well and works with you to address any issues you may have. More importantly Dr Roever really cares about her patients. I cannot recommend highly enough.

totally disappointed1
Dr. Roever has been our family doctor for several years. But the office has just taken a nose dive. My husband had bloodwork done in the office Thursday, went in yesterday (Mon) for his results. He took with him his clinic results (which can be easily found on our insurance website), He was escorted out of the office by a not so pleasant office supervisor and told him he would not be allowed back without a COVID (long test!)! He mentioned the word bronchitis and that did it! ( He is on antibiotics and prednisone ). Ron tried several places for a COVID test (Bay Care clinics, walk-in clinics not covered by insurance: cost $400! Is this a caring family office??? He tried to call and was given a recording saying that he had a 40 minute phone wait! Dr. Roever, you have broken our hearts and our faith in you! BTW-this is our 3rd complaint to you about your office. We are seriously looking for another PCP.

Dr cancels appt & can’t get in till next year!
I made an appt in May and it was set for end of August. Got a call today canceling appointment Next available new patient is for January 2023. I planned on getting drugs refilled and now I am out of luck. This is no way to treat a person! No help in any way. Who can wait 8 months to be seen by a doctor. So disappointed and saddened to be treated this way. Im done with Advent Health Care.

If you are the kind of patient that wants the doctor to take complete charge of your medical care without your input, Dr. Roever is perfect for you. But if you feel you should be a partner in the decisions made about your body and care, you might want to look elsewhere. Whatever you do, don't disagree with her.

She takes her time and answered all my questions. She made me feel like she had nowhere else to be. She even wrote down all the things I needed to do so I don't have to worry about not remembering what we talked about. And she is super nice!

I've been fortunate in my life to have received care from some wonderful doctors and Dr. Cynthia Roever is definitely one of them. She listens carefully, explains why she is prescribing a medication or ordering a test, takes her time in appointments and recommends great specialists when appropriate. Since becoming her patient, my labs have gone from not so great to either normal or very near normal in every test. Yes, I've worked hard to accomplish that, but she's been there for me with great advice, medical care and encouragement. And she's nice, which is an important trait for someone in a key role on one's team. In short, I know Dr. Roever to be an excellent doctor.

I've been in the medical field for a very long time and have known many PCPs. Dr. Roever is honest and may not always tell you what you want to hear but the reason I go to a doctor is because she knows more than I do about medicine. Medicine is not a cookbook., you just don't add ingredients and come up with a diagnosis, sometimes a diagnosis is a result of ruling out other problems. I may not what someone to tell me I'm overweight but guess what....I am

I’ve been seeing Dr Roever for 3 years on and off. I changed from Humana PPO to HMO and regretted it. I changed back to Dr Roever last year. She found I was Pre-diabetic. Previous Dr missed it. She’s thorough. Straightforward, prepared and sweet. Her staff is amazing. They get back to you immediately. I recommend her . She’s a geriatric Specialist. I’m 74. The best.

What started out as a good experience 2015 both positive, and receptive and inclusive, grew to be one of judgment and textbook treatments as well as multiple un necessary visits. Dr. Roever instead of listening to me about my body and symptoms began to just diagnose without the facts and request tests without logic and for no reasons. After 2 unnecessary and expensive tests were made and proved I was right about my body, along with comments about my weight that sent me spiraling off the deep

I have had Dr. Roever as my primary physician since moving to Palm Harbor about ten years ago. She is competent and compassionate. I have been well cared for by her and the staff. I am amazed to hear patients in the waiting room complain if she (or any doctor) is running late. If a patient ahead of us needs more time, be happy it's not you and be glad a physician today who bound by so many regulations cares enough to give that time.

I see a doctor when needed. As such, this group is not for that, nor the uninsured population, demanding you come in every couple months, even if you're well, for exams, wellness exams at $150 plus, and they won't give estimates for self-pay. As a patient of many years, it's now out of hand since FL Hospital's takeover. If you know anything about thyroid issues, sometimes levels go off and cause other issues, like BP. Last time mine was, Roever said go to ER for a simple med adjustment. OMG!

Patients please be careful - this is not a review from a patient, but the spouse of a patient who has to deal with the bills. Dr. Roevers policy with Wellness visits is to split the visit into two visits. One to do the exam, and one to review results. Most insurances cover the wellness visit, but not he second visit, and allows the Doctor to bill it as an office visit, which means the patient pays a high deductible or even the entire visit. Billing group not cooperative, passing the buck.
