Dr. Damon Simpson, MD

After a very difficult emergency surgery last year, my abdominal area was left scared and displaced. (looked like a sack of potatoes) I was afraid I'd have to live with it the rest of my life. Dr. Simpson assured me that my situation was fixable, and he could restore my core strength and stability, and improve the outward appearance of the area. I'm two weeks out from surgery, and I could not be happier with the results! Dr. Simpson was able to repair the damage, and give me back a quality of life that had been questionable for over 15 months. I'm still healing, but I can already tell a remarkable difference in how I feel, and how I look. Dr. Simpson is a great surgeon and I would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone needing to have a surgical procedure done. The entire staff at Roper St. Francis Hospital in Mount Pleasant was top notch, and took very good care of me while I was there.

Appointment mixup had me in the waiting room about an hour. Receptionist said I was not scheduled in the computer, then she entered the wrong time. She said she notified the people in nthe back but no one showed up. Finally I ask if anyone was back there and a person showed up. I will not be back! Was rushed and now have infection in the operation area.

Received excellent care from dr Simpson during my hospital stay. He explains all procedures and I felt very comfortable having him as my surgeon.

Great doctor who takes his time speaking with the patient to fully understand the issues. Never felt rushed as most doctors do. Great reputation in the medical community.

Dr Simpson is an amazing physician/ surgeon. He is a doctor that is very thorough about his examination and also very explanatory when talking to his patients about what is afflicting them. He is a doctor I would recommend to anyone who is in need of is specialty. Thank Doc.

Dr. Simpson was suggested to me for Gallbladder surgery. He was very kind, very prompt. it was a good experience I would suggest him and his skills.

I was in a critical abdominal situation, Dr Simpson successfully removed a portion of my large intestine thus saving my life. He patiently and thoroughly explained the procedure he performed. He’s congenial and easy to talk to.

I cannot thank Dr. Simpson enough for his skill in the manner of which he assured me at bedside and reassured me post operation that all will be alright. I entered Roper St. Francis 08:00AM Monday morning with severe intestinal pain. Less than 30 hours later, Dr. Simpson and I were discussing the successful surgery, pain free! I thank Dr. Simpson and the many hands, legs, bodies and minds that made my hospital stay a success.
