Fine doctor but not the office
I have been trying to get his office to call in a prescription. We all know Mounjaro is hard to find. Well, I found a no name pharmacy that has what I need, but I cannot get the office to call it in. I was seeing the good doctor but lately I have been seeing his PA Amanda. I have called and emailed at least a dozen times, yet no one will call in my prescription. I've requested to speak to the office manager but am told they are in a meeting and they will call me back, but no one does.If the good doctor is reading this, I am sorry I have to take this route as medically you are top notch. But your office staff and PA are not reliable. I don't think I am asking too much, simply call in my prescription request. The pharmacy and dosage details are in the multiple emails and phone messages that were left, or you can call me on my cell phone number that you have.

You cannot get better treatment than Damon Danny!
He has treated me for a long time...before the facial hair. My A1C is under 7, my weight is falling and my Gators are rising. Everything is above average.

Unable to get Dr. Tanton on Portal on phone! Office is terrible! I've been with Dr. Tanton for 7 years not sure what's going with him this last year. Terrible at prescriptions fills. Doesn't seem concerned about your health!

I have called several times to get a prescription.
I have been dealing with Dr Tanton for some time now , nice caring doctor. But the people in his office can care less if you need to get a prescription refilled. I've tried for two weeks , no response. ??

If I could give negative stars I would! This office is one step away from a lawsuit. Don’t go here if you ever want to speak to a nurse EVER! I have been pushed off and never called back. Was placed on different medications of which had a negative response. Was told to stop the medication but never given an alternative or even the decency of a phone call! Worst office ever!

This review is for the office staff. Dr. Tanton is fantastic, but his office staff is difficult to work with. I saw the doctor after waiting 6 months for a new patient appointment. He listened to me and finally had answers for why I was feeling horrible. He sent me with a sample rx and told me they would send an auth to my insurance. My insurance denied the auth. I reached out to the office to request an appeal. I had the misfortune of dealing with Melissa. Melissa was uncaring about my auth denial. She didn’t listen to what I said the insurance needed. She was short with me and snapped at me several times. After several messages and calls, she said the doctor would appeal the denial. I called the insurance several times over the next 60 days and was told dr. Tantons office had not provided them with the information needed. Not only had they not provided the needed info, but they hadn’t even attempted to reach out. Each time I called or messaged dr. Tantons office, I was transferred

Stress super high Tuesday and Wednesday After reviewing several endocrinologists’ credentials online, I decided to make an appointment with Dr Tanton. The first receptionist who answered the phone told me I needed to find out whether my Insurance was PPO or HMO or what type before she could schedule it. I decided to be respectful and instead of keeping her on the phone for a minute while I checked I told her I would call her right back. I called a couple of minutes later and I’m not sure if the person who answered was someone else but gave me a major attitude and without even listening to what I was trying to say kept asking me if they had received my medical records. When I told her I was not sure what she was talking about that I was calling back with my insurance information like they had requested and asked her if she could explain further she said WITH MAJOR ATTITUDE they were specialist’s office and I needed to “be working on getting my records”. You should have my medica

Dr. Tanton was very thorough in his explanation of my condition. My rating is based on his staff service. Next to impossible to get an appointment. No one seems to know what to do next. Also, a lot of misspelled information on the patient information. I strongly feel that his office staff needs to be retrained. And Melissa, his personal scheduler, good luck if she ever answer your call. Always the call you in 24 hours game.

Dr. Tanton has always been extremely kind and welcoming. He's worked with me through some complex medical issues and has sought to find answers, rather than pushing symptoms aside as other providers have done. He's been honest with me - saying that he doesn't know if he can figure something out or treat it, but he always does his best to try. That means a lot to have an honest doctor, who is willing to try as many do not. He's rather in-demand, so it does take time to get in.

He told me he thinks I have Hashimoto disease. Gave me samples of Synthroid wanted me to start taking it and go for blood work. Blew off all my concerns. Found out later medication was three times the recommended dose for a person my age and weight, most likely I would of ended up in the hospital. Had blood work done. No one called me with results. When I returned to the office told all my labs were normal. Thank goodness I did not take the med. He would of really messed up my thyroid.

Dr. Tanton is the best Endocrinologist I have had hands down! I don't understand the reviews complaining about him focusing on blood work. What else can a doctor go by if not quarterly bloodwork?! He's doing his job, and he's extremely good at it. When I started seeing Dr. Tanton, my A1C was 9.0 less than a year later I have lost 17 lbs, and my A1C is 6.5. He's a great doctor, and I recommend him to anyone looking to get their diabetes under control. He's the best you'll find!

Dr Tanton is the kind of doctor that will spend as much time as you need - and in fact there are few times where we have been in his office talking to HIM as much as 45-50 minutes. He is absolutely the reason I am doing so well with my Type 1. He is "the bomb" and takes care of all 4 of us (wife and two kids) as well.

I've been chronically ill for six years and have seen hundreds of doctors. In one visit with Dr. Tanton, he was able to accurately identify an issue that all of the other providers have missed...including one of Orlando's top Endocrinologists. Though time will tell how his treatment impacts me (I am just starting medication), his compassion and desire to address the situation were unmatched. I also REALLY appreciate his methodical, measured approach. Excellent, excellent physician.
