Sad
She forced a fibromyalgia diagnosis at me instead doing her actual job. She told me to start each day with a very hot shower which is a dangerous suggestion for someone who has dysautonomia from autonomic neuropathy, passing out is never good. The trouble is is due to my neuropathy I can’t even sense what temperature I’m in, and the morning would be the worst time of day to do so since I struggle with alertness in the morning. She did a bunch of tests to prove to me I didn’t have arthritis which I already knew. I’m too flexible not stiff and she refused to listen to that either. She just likes fibro patients because she can dismiss them with a bunch of papers and having a “weird” disorder. It’s pure and simple laziness. I hope her retirement is official, if not she needs to lose her license. Pure and simple she’s rude beyond lazy.

Horrible, had to go to her as she was the only tier 1 arthritis doctor on our plan in our area. She immediately changed my dx of psoriatic arthritis to fibromyalgia, which I wasn't even aware of. She weaned me off all my medications and ordered tons of labs and tests at my first visit. Gave me some papers on what she thought I should do if I had fibro, which I was under the impression that we would discuss with the lab and test results at the next visit. At the next visit she called me a "naughty girl" cause I didn't go to a massage therapist or order a tens unit as she had suggested with the papers she gave me. I am an older RN and really didn't appreciate her demeaning attitude. She went over my results that didn't really show a lot. She then suggested I do a full body MRI seems as with all the other tests she ordered I was close to my deductible already. I called my primary after the visit and told her I would never go to see Dr. Trotter again

Dr. Totter was the worst Dr. experience I've ever had. She called people with fibromyalgia "weirdos!" She hurt my mother-in-laws feelings, who suffers from crippling arthritis by telling her that she had "ugly feet!" Also, a friend of mine who also has fibromyalgia, who is over weight, was told by Dr. Trotter that she looked like an M&M when she was in an examination gown. Needless to say, we never went back. I wonder how she never lost her license? I would never recommend her to anyone!!!!!!!! :( I would give her ZERO STARS, but am forced to give 1 STAR.

As my doctor for 2 yrs, I found Dr Dana Trotter to be a knowledgeable, thorough and compassionate Rheumotologist. I'm lucky to have found her. After her diagnosis, she explained my conditions, presented a plan to help me manage them as best I can, and deal with my complicated conditions! She never rushes. I never waited in her office. I was amazed at that..a specialist on time. I'll miss being under her care. I'm told she's leaving Naples. Thank you Dr., my best wishes to your future endeavors.

Dr. Dana Trotter is a caring physician. It is in her voice and her eyes. It is in the way she touches you during her exam. She totally understands the conditions of specialty. Dr Trotter communicates well. She is an exceptionally knowledgeable physician and she share that knowledge with her patients. Dr. Trotter stays up-to-date on the remedies available for your conditions. She is organized and provides all her patients with a system to stay organized. I could go on but I've run out of room.

Dr. Trotter recommended a few changes to the treatment prescribed by Mayo Clinic who I had been seeing for several years. Each of these has worked out well to my benefit and resulted in reducing the number of meds needed.

She Is (7/2016) in Naples, Fl . I had a problem, left a message for the dr. after5 business days without a call back I talked to the office manager who told me yes we are still waiting for an answer from the dr. I will have a Physician Assistant call you. When the PA called me she said I should come in she wanted to meet me. I said I already had an appointment with you. She said we should do an MRI, I said I already had one. What was she looking at? I never got help and was misdiagnosed,

It takes months and months to get an appointment at this office which is just unacceptable. My six week follow up visit was scheduled 12 weeks later because they have no availability. Also the medical assistant never returns my calls. Dr. Trotter seems to know her stuff. I only saw her once so far so I don't know how accurate she really is but so far I trust her.
