Great first visit
I saw Dr Iams for a second opinion after another orthopedic surgeon said that I would need both hips replaced (I’m 47). He got me in within a day. Minimal wait time in the office. They repeated the X-rays and Dr Iams explained that the other Dr was correct. He made it exceptionally clear that it was my decision to proceed with surgery and didn’t want me to feel pressured. He asked some great questions to help contextualize the situation and we moved forward with surgery. The office called two days later to schedule everything including pre-hab PT. So far I’m grateful I went to see him. Will update after surgery.

Knee Concern
I was seen promptly at 0930 for 0930 appointment. The knee issue was addressed, and it was discussed with both the PA and Dr. Iams. My concern was addressed professionally.

Good Doctor
I went to see Dr Iams after I injured my knee just few months after he had done replacement surgery. It wasn’t a big deal but but Dr Iams took it seriously, explained what he thought I had injured and suggested a course of action. I feel very confident in his care.

Avoid
My appointment with Dr. Iams was a complete and total waste of time. I waited over 2.5 hours after my appointment time to see him, and he spent approximately 10 minutes with me if I am being generous. He had a very elementary understanding of my condition and spoke to me in a very condescending manner as if I have not been living with my genetic condition since birth. He did not care to listen to my complaints. Not sure why he is considered to be an “expert” on knee pain when he had absolutely nothing of value to offer me. Save yourself some time and look for a competent doctor who actually cares about assisting patients with their pain. After reviewing my after-visit summary, he had very inaccurately logged my symptoms, the treatments I have attempted, as well as their effects. I tried requesting my records to have them sent to a doctor who can actually be helpful, and the office made it as complicated as it can be. Also, the staff I spoke with on the phone were rude.

Horrable staff and will not address pain
Dr. Iams is a nice enough fella but his staff is a nightmare. We finally lost confidence in the scheduling staff and went to another doctor. Be aware, this doctor will not address your pain regardless. I had a fully collapsed femoral head and, No, sorry. Go to a pain specialist.

Unprofessional
Dr. Iams has not responded to a message from Dec. 13th. His bedside manner is horrible. He is very dismissive. My first appointment had me waiting for 50 minutes. My second appointment had me waiting for 1 hour and 40 minutes. He was in my room for less than 10 minutes to prescribe a steroid pack and say he was going to put in an order for an injection which he didn’t discuss someone calling or moving forward with any details of getting the injection. He doesn’t know what is wrong with my leg and was very nonchalant on both visits. He really needs to be investigated because he doesn’t respond to medical questions, shows lack of empathy, is very dismissive, and rushes the visit. It is unfortunate that he is practicing medicine with his lack of care for certain patients.

8 days after my visit he still hasn’t provided the MRI or PT referral and hasn’t responded to several messages in their health portal. And when I visited I waited 45 minutes for a 5 minute visit. Nope!

"HIP-HIP HURRAY!" pun intended :)
I need to have hip replacement surgery(!!!). I am already a patient of this practice with NOTHING BUT 100% complete satisfaction and absolute TRUST. So, when Dr. Dane was recommended to me by my other doctor, his associate, I did my "vetting" and booked an appt. He couldn't have been nicer! Compassionate, informative, attentive and just all around "what one would want/need in a surgeon"---Also, his assistant--truly great as well...I won't be having the procedure for a few months, but I have total peace-of-mind with this doctor--and having that, truly, goes a LONG way!

EXCELLENT!!!!! The best, most professional and knowledgeable. I had total rt hip replacement and I had the best care from Dr Iams. After having gone through surgery with Dr Iams, I would not choose any other doctor but Dr Iams to have anymore surgeries. The BEST and good looking also. He is caring and wants only the best for his patients. His bedside manners are the BEST also. Nothing but 5 stars from me.

I was so happy to finally get an appointment to see Dr. Iams. What a mistake. I was praying that he could help me as I am have servere pain in lower back, groin and leg. He seemed confused as to a diagnosis. He was clearly biased and his mind was made up when he walked in the room where I was waiting. He had no empathy for me because I am somewhat overweight. I became nauseous at his attitude towards me. I left broken, empty. No plan of care. He didn't care period, glad to be rid of me. ??
