“I can’t say enough good things about Dr. Daniel Aghion. He is truly a walking angel on earth. After my laminectomy and fusion, I can confidently say he has healed me and changed my life for the better. Not only is he an incredibly skilled surgeon, but his genuine care for his patients makes him stand out even more. From my first consultation to post-op care, I felt completely supported and reassured. Thanks to him, I now have a quality of life I thought was out of reach. If you’re looking for an amazing neurosurgeon, Dr. Daniel Aghion is the one to trust.

I had been suffering for a decade with my back & it was interfering with my life. Saw a few doctors & got no answers. Dr. Aghion figured out was was causing my excruciating pain. Spondylolesthesis . He fused my L4 & L5. It was a long recovery that he warned me about but a year later, no pain! My pain was with standing & walking & I am now pain free. Enjoying my grandchildren & danced the night away at a wedding. He’s kind, caring & listens. Thank you , Dr. Aghion for giving me my life back! You are the best! My only issue is that it takes months to get an appointment with him. I have recommended him to friends & family but they end up going to someone else because it takes so long to see him.

Awesome Doctor & Staff
Dr. Aghion made me feel utmost importance and comfortable. I was to do neck surgery in 2007 with another neurosurgeon. But doctor did not make me feel comfortable nor safe. When meeting Dr. Aghion, he made me feel comfortable and safe, he also reassured me that all would go just fine, due to my concerns. I did the neck surgery on March 23rd, 2022. Since that day up to the timing I was discharged, he checked up on me everyday. He would call as well to speak to me and if he couldn't see me physically, he'd send over one of his colleagues, which were also awesome. I'm still in recovery stages from surgery but he and his colleagues have checked up on me and continue to do follow-ups.

I am trying to get an appointment to see my back problem and they are asking for an MRI. I said i o not have an MRI and they request my PCP to order one. But how will the PCP order an MRI for a back pain that is why i need a neurosurgeon. If the neurosurgeon cannot see you to evaluate you and give the appropriate orders, then who can. I wonder if i cal to the doctor;s office or barista office. Actually the 2 ladies on the phone had less knowledge in Medicine than a 17 yo barista

Dr Aghion is very thorough with respect to his questioning and examination. He listened intently and followed up with questions clarifying my medical history. He performed an extensive neurological examination and based on his findings suggested a cautious approach to my treatment prescribing targeted x-rays and core physical therapy. Dr Aghion gave me a clear explanation how my MRI images relate to my pain and in addition discussed the potential risks of surgery. At the conclusion of my appointment, I was given a packet including Dr Aghion's summary report, the scripts for PT and x-ray, phone numbers, addresses and maps of these locations. The extra effort was greatly appreciated. There are several factors which make a doctor preeminent in one's field among which are competence, humility, understanding, respect and commitment. Dr Aghion possesses all of these and more. If there were a Hall of Fame for surgeons, Dr Aghion would be inducted in the first year.

Dr Aghion has been one of the very best doctors I have had the opportunity to be a patient of. He is very caring and explains every detail of the procedure before it happens. He put me at ease right away and after only the first visit I was completely confident and trusting of the doctor. One month after my surgery my pain level has decreased tremendously and on the follow up he explained in detail what to expect. His staff makes you feel like your the only patient they have. Thank you Dr. Aghion and staff.

A doctor who listens!! What a great experience to be cared for. This doctor carefully explains the why, the how and the what’s to be done with respect for the patient. As he discussed what treatment was needed, his mind was turning through options. I’m impressed with his stellar credentials and experience. His hands-on care and concern for me as a new patient is amazing. His office reflects his character as well. Friendly, knowledgeable and understanding of the pain and discomfort of the patient. Now on to surgery!

I was referred to Dr. Aghion by my pain management doctor. After being evaluated, Dr. Aghion explained to me what needed to be done for me continue my career and to enjoy my impending retirement. The procedure Dr. Aghion performed on me was in my mind very serious but after several consultations and telephone calls, he went through everything step by step and assured me that the outcome would be successful, which had a calming effect. After the 3+ hr surgery I experienced virtually no pain or discomfort. Dr. Aghion even visited my room in the evening hours to see how I was doing prior to his going home. In talking w/ the nurses and staff, Dr. Aghion is a very skilled and respected Neurosurgeon and I agree 100%. As an aging former athlete and current LEO I have abused my body to the the point that I have had to endure 18 surgical procedures over 35 yrs. This was by far the most serious. I couldn't have envisioned a better outcome and I owe it all to Dr. Aghion and his staff. Thank you!

I went to Memorial Miramar with a pain from the coccyx down my right leg w/numbness. I was seen by dr. Aghion who said I needed surgery. The day of surgery I was suppose to have surgery in the AM & the surgery did not start til midnight. I have three screws on L4, L5, and S1 & removed a herniated disc. I then went throught PT for about 2 months. I have not been the same after surgery. I still have the pain now on both legs. I call office & DR does not want to see me. They dont call me back.

I’m at memorial hospital right now. I just got done with surgery. I was worried and scared prior to getting a herniation out of my back that was pinching my sciatic nerve. Well I just woke up and I’m sitting here writing this review. The pain from the Incision hurts obviously but that is nothing compared to what I was experiencing. Even on drugs I was in horrible pain, and now... I feel amazing compared to what I felt before
