Renowned Gastroenterologist!
Doctor Daniel Ball is a renowned medical center gastroenterologist, a Baylor Medicine professor of it, and a scholarly gentleman! My wife was referred to him by her renowned medical center internist, Doctor James Muntz. He did her first colonoscopy, and it went perfectly. We'd recommend him, highly, to anyone nervous about a colonoscopy, or anyone seeking a Jedi gastroenterologist!

1 star is too many
This guy doesn't even properly listen to me and my symptoms. I have textbook gallbladder problems and he gave me an antidepressant and told me it needed time to heal. After a scan from a real doctor, I'm having surgery to remove it due to it being 24% function

Sad Review
Nice guy. Sadly a typical western textbook GI dr. Saw him for multiple problems. Explained how my headaches correlate with my eating. He tried to tell me how there’s no such thing as gastric headaches. Sorry doc. but tell that to my stomach! My headaches get worse after every meal. Also told me I had IBS, but like every other typical western GI Dr., he based his diagnosis merely off my own description of my problems. No definitive tests were recommended. Prescribed me a big pharma pill for IBS and sent me on my not so marry way… Few months later I saw Dr. Dipti Bavishi. She immediately sent me in for a colonoscopy and EDG. Found fungus in my esophagus and a precancerous polyp right at the valve connecting small and large intestine. Bavishi said I saved my own life by getting an early colonoscopy. I shiver to think what would have happened if I had stayed with Dr. Ball. Hopefully he and the 95 other % of US GI Drs can pull away from textbook thinking and deeply listen to their patient

I had my first colonoscopy ten years ago and had my second recently. Dr. Ball performed both, or supervised someone who did. First, I did not feel a thing when the nurse inserted the IV. The rest of the staff were very professional and competent. Dr. Ball has a great bedside manner and easy going temperament, taking the time to explain everything. The procedure went very smoothly both times. I had no health issues, so I was not exactly a challenging patient.
