Nice Doctor, Efficient
I don't know why he gets such negative reviews. After reading them, I was a little frightened, but he was personable and efficient. Repeated things when I need him to (I'm hard of hearing). Is he brusque, maybe a little, but I thought he was fine.

I would recommend no one to him.
The visit was absolutely horrible. He was very rushed and treated me like I was an idiot. When I tried to ask a question he told me to shut up and listen to him. He told me there was nothing wrong with me and that my doctor who recommended him should stay in their own lane. His arrogance and god-like attitude was so unprofessional. I left his office very upset and crying. I have had to go to another doctor because there is in fact something wrong with me. This man needs to find a new profession. He has zero bedside manners,

Horrible distressing experience- Groisser was rude, condescending and the appointment was a degrading experience for my daughter. This man must be unhappy in his personal life to be so agitated and unprofessionally insensitive. My daughter was in tears after her appointment. She is filing a complaint w the Board he was so awful- and he did not communicate a diagnosis or explain Rx since he rushed her out after a 2 min visit. He did not listen to what her skin issues are and just looked her over and meanly rushed her out.

When you visit Schweiger Dermatology, you are treated by a corporation - not by people. You are made to feel like an impersonal number, while the owner profits from your pain. If that sounds horrific, that's because it is. The 'doctors' who work here are rude, cold, inept and uncaring. I was told that I had 'basal cells' everywhere that I pointed to on my skin (they were all benign). Furthermore, I was allowed to leave the treatment room with a poorly-secured bandage and discovered that blood was all over me before I walked out the door of the office. Had I not felt the blood on me in the office, it would have happened on my drive home. And I was COVERED in blood! The 'doctor' was off eating a sandwich.I don't recommend patronizing this practice.

Rushed, Rude and Insensitive
I should have listened to the other former patients of Dr Groisser, who left honest feedback here about their experience with him. Everything they have said is 100% accurate and I will not return.

He was not careful when he’s sutured
Small non-cancerous fatty tumor was removed on the left side of my back. It left a terrible jagged scar. I am very self-conscious and will not wear anything that exposes my back. If he had taken a little more care/time I would not have what looks like a hole on my back.

Rushed and Condescending
Find another dermatologist! I have seen him twice, in person and Telehealth (was hesitant to the second time, but I wanted to follow up about my medications), and have always felt rushed out and never have a clear understanding of my multiple skin issues because he sped through the entire encounter in 2 minutes. He never gives proper instructions for the ointments or prescriptions unless i ask him, and he spoke so fast (halfway out the door, ready to rush out) that when I asked for clarification, he made me feel incompetent for not understanding the first time. Maybe if his explanations were thorough from the beginning, I would not have to ask, and even if I do, he does not have to be snappy about it. I understand that doctors can be busy and have many patients to see, but as stated in other reviews, this is not a “once in a while” situation with Groisser. It seems he is overbooked for the money purposes and not because he’s such a great doctor. Do yourself a favor, go somewhere else!

Terrible experience. I waited 30 minutes for a telehealth visit, and he was on screen for maybe 1 minute. He was staring down at his clipboard the entire time. He didn't look up at me once. Just wrote down my prescription renewal and left. I tried to ask a question, and he brushed it off, without looking up. Thank goodness I just needed a renewal - but he didn't even look at my skin!

One of the worst decisions I could've made choosing to go to Dr. Groisser for my perioral dermatitis that comes back every year. After the 1 minute VISIT with him (3x), and prescribing me steroids, this is the worst that my condition has ever been. He also told me to continue using it (well over a month). He told me to text him if I had any problems.. and no response 2x. My face is a horrible mess and I refuse to go back to him for the 4th time, spend a $50 copay, and be seen for all of 2 seconds when my condition isn't being treated correctly.

I had my 1st visit with Dr. Groisser. I’ll likely never go back to see this dr. He was somewhat arrogant & rude. When I made the appt I explained that I did NOT need a full body scan but was only concerned about a small growth. On arrival I was abruptly told by the medical asst that I would be getting a full body scan. No choice. It is condescending & demeaning to disregard a patient’s specific request & demand that a full-grown adult submit to an exam that was not needed or wanted. Dr. Groisser’s actual body scan was a whirlwind. He quickly treated the growth on my arm w/ a treatment that wasn’t explained well. He prescribed meds without fully explaining what I could expect them to do. He said that I will return in 2 weeks for him to remove skin tags which were not of any concern to me. I told him I was having a hard time following what he was saying because he was speaking very quickly. He said “maybe you just listen too slowly.” I’ve never experienced such rude behavior from a Dr.

If I could give a 0 I would. He has to be the rudest, most arrogant doctor I have ever been to. I went to have a mole on my face looked at. He demanded I get undressed for a full body scan which I had said multiple time I did not want. He said to either do the scan or leave. I should have left immediately. I told him this was not a pleasant experience. He basically said he can be rude cause he is the best in the business. I wouldn't recommend him to my worst enemy.

After multiple surgical dermatology visits over a short span, I am very impressed with Dr. Groisser's compassion, skills, and knowledge. While I can see that some patients might not always be comfortable with his personality, I do not have a problem with this in the slightest. I also like the pre-visit check-in capabilities on the Internet. I will say, however, that yes, unless COVID-19 really hit them too hard, overbooking or appointment wait times -- perhaps just time management in general -- is a major concern here. Hence, if this is something that you have a problem with, this might not be the right practice for you. Finally, be very forewarned that parking at this Nutley office is ABSOLUTELY tight and ridiculous, and there were many times my wife and I just shook our heads in frustration at how poor the parking access is. However, especially if your needs are great, don't let this deter you -- Dr. Groisser might not be for everyone, but overall he is a great dermatologist!

Horrific experience! I waited over an hour to be seen. Dr. Groisser comes in clearly in a rush, asks me one question (where do I work-- which really does not have relevance to the issue that was at hand), barely looks at me, tells the nurse to order me a cream and then LITERALLY with one foot out the door asks if I have any other questions. As I'm standing there baffled and confused at the behavior and lack of professionalism, I try to ask about a recent medication change that I had that may have affected my issue. Without even listening to my reasoning or explanation he says "no that's not it. It's your mask" and proceeds to wave his hand in a "hurry up" gesture to me. (NEWSFLASH: COVID IS NOT THE ANSWER TO EVERYTHING!) He leaves to get me samples of the cream and comes back (I'm still baffled), and I ask why this has to do with my mask because I've been wearing it for a year and haven't had issues like this with my skin. (Hence my prior question about my medication change AND my con

Date: 3-5-21 Had an issue with the prescription being called to the pharmacy, I called the pharmacy and it was stated that it was not called in. I called his office and spoke to Veronica and Shanica (sp.?????) which were helping me with the situation since it was a Friday and I didn't want to wait till Monday. His wound was open and I was worried he could get an infection. As a mother you will always worried about your kids, specially if they suffer from a deficiency. Extremely grateful for his staff for going far and beyond. And kudos for the Doctor calling me at night time to make sure everything it's okay. Always remember we could always be in the other persons shoes so lets be kind. It doesn't take much to make someone's day. Remember, everyone it's going to rough time with this pandemic.

GO ANYWHERE ELSE. This doctor only cares about your co-pay. Forget your appointment time because it doesn’t matter. You’ll be seen at least an hour later because they triple book. Once you get in the exam room, the doctor spends less than 30 seconds with you and doesn’t give you time to ask questions. He said two of my moles looked “suspicious” with no further explanation, prescribed a prescription for a cream with no explanation, and told me to schedule a separate appointment to have the moles removed. Not sure how he knew this when he literally spent less than 30 seconds in the room for a body scan. I went to a different derm and they said the moles were completely fine. He is incompetent and does not care about you or your health. Do not go here.

I think he is a intelligent and smart doctor. I’ve been seeing him for over a year now and I thank god he found my squamous cell carcinoma on my leg and sent me to have it removed. I think he is overbooked with appointments but that’s because he’s an excellent doctor, and hard for him to keep up. I think his personality and bedside manners are funny and he tries to keep your mind busy so you don’t feel any pain. I would definitely recommend my family snd friends.

I have been going to the Nutley office for years but have always seen the PA's. They were very good. This last visit I actually saw Dr. Groisser since the pandemic has reduced the staff at the Nutley office. I will NEVER go back to see him again. I waited over an hour (in my car) for him to give me less than 5 minutes of his time. He was in such a rush that I didn't feel he was interested in the reason for my visit. I was told to make a follow up appointment for a minor procedure that could have and should have been done during the appointment. I will make another appointment but with another doctor. If you like long waits and you're interested in a revolving door experience than this is the place to go. If not then I strongly suggest you find someone who actually cares why you're there.

I would absolutely NOT recommend Dr. Groisser. While his office staff was friendly and the check-in process seamless, I arrived 10 min early for my 8:30am appointment and had to wait for over 1 hour as the Dr. was clearly overbooked (which I've since learned is his norm). When I did get called in the nurse was very kind but admittedly very green (saying things like "don't quote me but I think..." when I asked her any questions). When Dr. Groisser did finally come in he was like a "bat outta hell" - speaking a mile a minute, not pausing to listen to nor address my concerns, overly quick to prescribe antibiotics, and pressuring me to schedule a follow-up meeting to perform a questionable procedure. He spent AT MOST 60 seconds with me. Needless to say, I didn't schedule a follow-up with Dr. Groisser. Dr. Groisser is clearly all about profit, at the expense of quality patient care. This is NOT how patients should be treated. You - as a patient - deserve so much better.
