I called for appointment today because my primary care physician has determined that my BNP is elevated and my other symptoms are not yet diagnosed, but swelling of feet and ankles with normal blood results for kidneys and liver. Having seen Dr. Guerra 5 years ago, and been highly satisfied, I asked for appointment. Was told that soonest was April 30th ... because I hadn't seen him in 5 years. It isn't that I've been somewhere else. I had no further problems 5 years ago; now, at age 78, I am having cardiac issues. The front desk was not at all helpful. I was told to call daily to see if cancellations. Do I wait for a catastrophic event? Thank you. Susan Livingston

Dr. Guerra cares about me as a patient. He is very intelligent and well educated (at Harvard and Duke). Yet he takes a humble approach and doesn't talk down to his patients, but takes the time to draw me out on what's bothering me. Then he uses tests when necessary and provides the proper amount of medications or procedures to help me live a robust life raising my 3 young children, the last of which was born when I was 60.
